A/N: I'm just going to let you know there is kissing in this chapter. You probably already knew that because I wrote that chapter that came before this one, but there is kissing. Just beware. It's not majorly graphic, but just use your horse blinders if it gets to be too much. Nothing important happens in this chapter. Unless you think Johnnyboy is amazing and the most important thing in the universe, as I do, then, everything important happens here.-booksarelife
(P.S. go and read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah because it's amazing.)
Ponyboy was kissing Johnny. He had never had an experience quite like his kiss with Johnny. Their kiss was soft. Not wet, but soft. Tender. Loving. Their kiss communicated the words that were going to come out of their lips the moment the connection was formed. Ponyboy realised Johnny was perfect. He was beautiful. He was a vision of love and everything Ponyboy would ever need. They broke apart. They didn't speak. Ponyboy leaned in again. Their kisses could move mountains and break dams. They had held these feelings for so long and now all the emotion was gushing out. Ponyboy pushed his mouth against Johnny's. Johnny's jacket came off and Ponyboy's hands were in Johnny's hair, combing it back. Johnny's hands snakes around Ponyboy's waist and he hoisted him onto his chair with him. Ponyboy's legs were on either side of Johnny. Johnny kept his hands on Ponyboy's waist, pulling him closer. There was no space between them. But neither of them wanted space, they wanted to be as close as the could. Nothing would ever come between them again because they were together. They were one. Ponyboy left Johnny's mouth and kissed his nose, his cheek, his eyes. "You are beautiful." He murmured. Ponyboy stood up and pulled Johhny up with him. The chair was awfully uncomfortable. Their lips touched once more. They couldn't stop. It was like feeding a hungry tiger. They would never get full. They needed each other. Forever. Johnny broke their kiss an rested his head against Ponyboy's.
"I know it might be too early for you to hear this," He said, "but I'm not lying. I love you."
Ponyboy kissed him.
"I love you too."
"Really?"
"Forever." Ponyboy kissed him again. And again. And again. They kissed for a while when they were standing, but Ponyboy's legs starting aching so they walked over to the sofa. He lay Johnny on it and he sat down on his thighs, kissing him. Kissing Johnny. Ponyboy cupped his hands around Johnny's face. Johnny's hands were on his thighs. Moving up and down melodically. Ponyboy sucked on Johnny's lips. He loved how he felt when they were together. He loved Johnny. Ponyboy kissed Johnny again, softer this time. Lighter.
"We need to get to bed." He had said.
"Mmmm. Why?" Johnny had replied with. He kissed Ponyboy's cheek.
"We have work tomorrow."
"Oh." Johnny had sounded disappointed. Ponyboy was disappointed too.
He kisses his again. It was a light kiss. Just a press of his lips against Johnny's, but he could hear Johnny's sigh. They were lying in bed. Johnny was laying with his face on Ponyboy's chest. His arm was around his waist. Ponyboy kissed the top of Johnny's head. Johnny stretched up and kisses Ponyboy's lips.
"Goodnight, Ponyboy"
"Goodnight, Johnny."
