It was dark. A small teenage brunette girl woke up in what felt like a large steel elevator. The sounds of metal on metal and her pounding heart were flooding her ears as she balled up into a corner.

She looked around and tried to recall how she had gotten herself into this situation. But her mind was blank. She couldn't remember anything.

My name! She thought. Oh my gosh, why can't I remember it! Why can't I remember anything at all!! She pulled her knees to her chest as tear flooded from her eyes.

Ok, pull yourself together. She wiped her tears and waited for her eyes to adjust to darkness.

Once they did she crawled towards what looked like a wooden box on the other side of this metal elevator. Inside the box there were what felt like articles of clothing. She grabbed a heavy jacket and went through one of the pockets, until she felt the coolness of a metal pocket blade.

She took out the closed pocket blade and shoved it in her boot. On the same jacket she felt the toughness of embroidered letters on another pocket. As she traced the word over and over again she spelled it out to be Isabella.

Isabella? Oh my gosh!! Isabella! Almost as if a switch was turned on she had remembered her name, but nothing more than that.

I few moments of nonstop thinking gone by until a loud-alarm sound bursted through the dark metal cage. And before Isabella's mind could flood with possible explanations, the elevator came to a rough stop.

"Hello?!" She called out not know if she wanted a response or not.

As if in a reply to her yell, the ceiling above her opened up letting in a sharp ray of light that pierced Bella's eyes. She quickly scrummaged to the corner and waited for her eyes to adjust to the harsh light.

Once she kinda got used to the sunlight she was able to make out a singular silhouette of a tall man. In one swift movement she grabbed the pocket blade from inside her boot and held it out, pressing the button to open the knife.

"How-" the man paused, his voice rough and tired. "How are you here?" He looked down into the hole that the metal elevator was sitting in.

"You tell me. I can remember hardly anything at all. And you ask me how I'm here?" Bella spoke out surprised at how her voice sounded.
"Now, where am I, who are you, and what am I doing here?" She demanded answers as for why she was in this strange situation.

"You're like I was." The man said, "When I first got here."

At this point she could see that he had dark skin, short hair, and an almost friendly face.

"Here," he threw down a long vine-like rope into the deep-ish hole, "climb on out and we can talk."

"I don't know if I can trust you." Bella said in reply to his offer.

"Suit yourself. But I'm the only person here to trust."  What? Bella thought to herself, were we really the only two people in this place?

"What's your name?" She asked and she lowered the blade and closed it.

"It's Alby, I don't expect you to remember yours since I didn't remember mine for a few-"
