After I had watched the Dolores Claiborne movie, I thought about writing a poem of a Native American woman named, Maureen Roberts. She is a mom of two mixed-raced kids, married to a violent alcoholic man. Some events in this poem are inspired by Stephen Kings Dolores Claiborne, but some are different.
