Chapter 4- Village of Bernia

Bella P.O.V
After a few hours of sitting, We finally made it to the Village of Bernia. Hawks Mom went down into the dirt again and I jumped up and made my way over to Angel. She was laying her head on the bar table, taking nap from all the excitement so far. I nudged her softly to wake her up. She groaned before slowly opening her eyes and seeing me. I sent a small smile.

"We made it to Bernia. And while you were sleep, Alexander made us new outfits since..."  I trailed off as I looked at my old outfit. There were dirt stains and rips all over it. I looked at Angel's outfit and saw dirt stains and rips too. Angel looked at both of our outfits tiredly before yawning. Ash and Alexander were out looking at the village with Elizabeth. We both got up and made our way to an empty room before changing into our new outfits. I sighed in happiness, happy I had on shorts at least. I pulled my hair into a high ponytail before slipping back on my boots.

After we both finished putting on our new outfits, We moved outside with the others. I breathed in the smell of the outdoors before walking towards the village. "Come on slowpokes!" I called out before hearing their footsteps catch up to me. I looked to the right of me to see Ash and Alexander beside me. I looked to the left to Elizabeth and Angel. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked behind me, not seeing Meliodas. I turned back in front to see him and hawk in front of us. I stared at the back of his head for a moment before cracking a small smile.

I frowned as I looked at the dried herbs. "It's a shame," I spoke gaining everyone's attention. I pointed to the dried river and dead herbs. I looked at Angel for a few seconds. We looked at each other before we all heard yelling. We quickly made our way to the center of the town. I pushed my way through the crowd before my eyes landed on the sword lodged into the ground. I looked around at the townspeople panicking at the sword and trying to pull it out. I hummed before going back to my group.

I decided to let Meliodas and Elizabeth talk to Mead. I stayed in the circle with Ash. Angel decided to head back Meliodas and Elizabeth and Alexander followed.

"Bella, why did you not follow after Meliodas, Elizabeth, and Hawk?" He spoke after a few minutes of watching the males trying to pull out the sword. I blinked slowly before shrugging my shoulders.

"I guess since I've watched the anime and read the manga so many times, I didn't want to listen to it," I said as my eyes went to Ash. Ash looked at me with an eyebrow raised. I blinked at him before he started to chuckle.

"Ok."

I narrowed my eyes at his simple one-word answer before I heard loud laughing. I looked over to see the two baby knights drinking Ale and laughing while throwing out taunts at the villagers. I hugged in annoyance before slowly making my way over to them. I heard footsteps running towards us so I looked and saw Mead running towards the center. The others were not too far behind.

After a failed attempt of trying to get the sword out, I stepped in front of the guards, snatching the mugs out of their hands. I scoffed before drinking the drinks then dropping the empty mugs into their laps.

"Did you think you two were going to sit here and drink this town money-making drink and taunt them? How stupid can you get." I scoffed again before moving out the way and letting the knights watch Meliodas take the sword out of the ground with ease. I turned back around from watching before smirking at the knights who looked scared.
As I moved away, a huge blast of water came from the ground and everyone cheered.

I smiled softly before heading back to the tavern. I just had a feeling Meliodas was going to work with Angel and Me too.

Turns out I was completely right. He made us work but I told him that I would make a house outside before I wear that hideous outfit. Angel agreed with me wholeheartedly. Meliodas started pouting and using his good looks to get me to agree but I was not going to wear that short-ass skirt and shirt.
