Long ago on a planet called Kronikle, there lived a young princess. She had the imagination of a wizard and the pride of a king. The princess loved to explore the planet she lived on. There were so many sights to see. So many places that she could be. She lived on a planet that was full of trees and different plants that she loved to learn about. However, they never found an animal on Kronikle.
Kronikle was a small planet that was near Asgard, the place from which Odin and his sons were from. Thor visited Kronikle a lot as a child. His brother however, hated being near Kronikle. Something about the place gave him the creeps. Loki could never seen to put his finger on what creeped him out about Kronikle but he swore to himself that he would find out.
One day, Thor and Loki were told to go to Kronikle and find the orchid of hope. The orchid was said to have abilities far more powerful than all of Asgard and far more dangerous than any criminal. The two were just mere children, 7 years old at most. They had no idea how important it was for them to find this orchid of hope. The boys would soon find out why it was important that the flower be found.
Once the boys reached Kronikle they knew something was wrong. The sky which was once a beautiful pink was now a deep grey, almost black. What they didn't know was that the princess of Kronikle had already found the orchid of hope.
___________________________________Not knowing what the beautiful flower was, the princess mistakenly touched it. As soon as her fragile fingertips touched the flower, it sent out a blast so strong that it shook the planet to the core and changed everything about it. All plants and trees were gone, the planet was no longer its happy self. It was full of darkness. Almost as if the whole planet had turned bad. Similar to a overly ripened banana.
The boys could see a bright yellowish brown light off in the distance but had no idea where it was coming from. They glanced at each other for a moment and then turned back to the light.
"Come, brother. We must find out what happened to this planet and bring the orchid of hope home to father." Said a young and very frightened Thor while still looking at the light that burned off in the distance.
"If you think that I am crazy enough to follow you towards a light that might kill us then you are sorely mistaken. This planet doesn't sit right with me and I will not help you find this so called orchid of hope in a dumpster of a planet. No way brother." Exclaimed Loki, more terrified than Thor.
"Fine. If you won't help me then I will do this on my own. Don't you dare move though."
Thor made his way towards the light that was shining bright at the heart of the planet. As he walked through, Thor noticed that there were no beings on this planet anymore. Not a single being was trying to attack him let alone following him which seemed strange since most of the men that were on Kronikle were hunters.
As Thor reached the light he could see the shadow of something or someone of small stature. Possibly a child. He called out to see if anyone would answer but received nothing. The light that once was there slowly disappeared until all you could see was the princess.
"H-hello?" Said the princess.
"My name is Thor, son of Odin. What is your name?" Thor proceeded with the conversation.
"My name is Princess Ileki Kala, daughter of Fili and Makio Kala." The princess says with dignity.
"Princess?"
"Yes. I am the princess of Kronikle. You are from Asgard are you not?"
"I am. My brother, Loki, and I are here in search of the orchid of hope. Our father sent us."
"The orchid of hope? What is that?" Ileki asks.
"The orchid of hope is a very powerful flower. It contains power far greater than ever before. It is said to be on this planet at the heart of it all." Thor says with enthusiasm.
"We ARE at the heart of Kronikle. By any chance, do you know what the orchid looks like?" She says with panic.
"I do not know what it looks like. I'm assuming it would look like an ordinary orchid like on Asgard and earth."
"I think I might have destroyed any and all living things on this planet."
"What do you mean?" Thor says with a hint of fear in his voice.
"I mean, I touched a flower for research and the next thing I know, there is this light surrounding me. I could see everything and everyone dying in my head. It was like a vision of sorts. Then you came."
"We must leave. My father will know what to do. He knows how to fix everything."
Thor grabs Princess Ileki's hand and calls out for Heimdall to take them home. Once they arrive on Asgard, Thor takes the princess directly to Odin.
"Ah, son, you made it home. I was beginning to worry. Where is the orchid?" Odin asks his most accomplished son.
"Father, the orchid was destroyed. All of Kronikle is destroyed. The people are gone and so are all of the plants. The princess was the only one to survive." Thor explained to his father.
"My boy, you did well bringing her here where she will be safe. Please give the princess and I a moment to talk." Odin said to Thor.
Thor left the room in search of Loki whom had left Kronikle the second Thor was out of sight. Loki was hiding out in his room, not exactly wanting to face Thor after he abandoned him on Kronikle.
"You left me there. What would you do if I had died there?! All you know how to do is run. You run from everything instead of fighting what's right in front of you. When will you learn to have my back the same way that I have yours?!" Thor yelled at Loki in an attempt to get him to realize that running doesn't always get you places.
"I'm sorry brother!" Loki yelled back to Thor knowing his mistake. "I realize that I left like a coward. If you knew the things that I know about Kronikle then you would have ran too. I told you that there was something about that place that creeps me out. I'm sorry that I ran." Loki says with pain in his voice.
Thor had no more words to give Loki. All he did was glare at Loki for a moment before leaving to go train.
___________________________________"My dear, tell me. What did happen on your planet exactly?" Odin said while looking Ileki in her eyes.
"It's quite a long story." She said.
"I've got time darling."
"Well, I got up for breakfast like I always do but today felt different. I felt like I had to leave to go search for something. I didn't know what I was looking for but I knew that I would know it when I saw it. I left the castle just after breakfast to go search the land that I hadn't gone to yet. As soon as I saw this beautiful flower, I stopped to look at it. I had no idea what it was so I was going to take it back to my special room in the castle to study it but as soon as I touched the flower a bright yellowish brown light surrounded me and I could see flashes of people and plants dying just rushing through my head. After what felt like forever, I saw your son emerge from the light and then it was just gone. I'm not sure what happened though. It all went by so fast. I think I killed my planet." The princess said with tear filled eyes.
"Child, you can stay on Asgard with us. I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your whole planet. My boys and I will help you through the grief. Let me have my youngest show you to your quarters. Make yourself at home because this will be your home until you are ready to return to Kronikle with your own family." Odin says with a smile.
"Thank you sir. That means a lot to me." The princess says with tears flowing from her eyes.
___________________________________Loki comes into the room, angry that he has to show a Kronian to a quarter that is directly next to his. He's not fond of the idea of this so-called princess being in his castle.
"This will be your quarters Kronian. I am directly across the hall from you. Do not go in my quarters and do not bother me. I don't like you. I don't like your kind. You are a measly peasant in this kingdom. Don't think I won't put you in your place." Loki says very angrily.
"I have a name. And it's not Kronian. Maybe if you were nicer to people you wouldn't be alone." She said as he walked away.
As soon as he turned to look at her, she was already in her room, shutting the door. Loki had to think about what she said for a minute because for a second he thought she was right. After pondering what she said for a minute, he brushed it off and told himself that she was wrong.
That night, Ileki was trying to sleep but all that appeared in her head was the cries and screams of her planet as they all were washed away by a flash of light that she brought upon her planet. She could see her parents through most of it. Ileki shot up in her bed, sweat rolling down her forehead. Her breath, heavy. She decided to get up and go over to Loki's room even though she was told not to.
As Ileki opened the door, she peered in his room to make sure that he was asleep. She tiptoed further into the room and tapped on his shoulder.
"Loki?" She whispered.
No answer. "Loki?" Still no response. "Loki!" She said a little louder.
"What?!" Loki said, thinking he was talking to Thor.
"I can't sleep." Ileki says in a soft tone.
"Huh?" Loki sits up and rubs his eyes so he can see better. "I thought I told you not to come into my room. Get out! Now!!" Loki yells at Ileki.
"Please don't push me away. I have no one. I don't have a family anymore and it's all my fault. Please don't make me feel alone like you do. Please Loki." She says with tears in her eyes.
"You know, your right." He says to her. Ileki thinks that he is talking about what she told him earlier that day but he isn't.
"It is all your fault that your whole planet was obliterated. You killed everything and everyone. Now get out of my room before something bad happens." He says with anger filled eyes.
Princess Ileki gets up and leaves. She heads back to her room crying because she knows that he is right about everything. She laid in her bed and looked up at the ceiling. Ileki didn't think that she should stay there since Loki didn't think that she belonged there. She didn't know where to go though.
After a few minutes of thinking, it hit her. She could go to earth and hide amongst the humans. She only hoped that Loki and Thor would never find her there. All Ileki had to do was think of where she wanted to go and she would be there. Within minutes, she was in a motel room on earth in New York. After leaving Asgard, she was finally able to sleep peacefully.
___________________________________The next morning Loki was sent to get her from her quarters, but she was gone. Loki was sent into a panic. If he didn't go down to the dining hall with Ileki, he would be in trouble. Odin knows that Loki would be the only one to force someone to leave.
"Oh rats." Loki says, knowing he is going to be sent to find her.
Loki heads to the dining hall, empty handed. "Where is Princess Ileki?" Thor asks Loki.
"She's....gone." Loki hesitates.
"What do you mean she's gone Loki?" Odin asks him.
"I mean, she's not in her quarters. She is gone. No longer on Asgard. I already searched all of Asgard. She's not here." Loki says with frustration.
"I am very disappointed in you Loki." Odin says with a look of regret. "It was your responsibility to take care of her. Why can't you be more like your brother?"
Loki looks at his father with a hurt look on his face. He never thought he'd hear his father say that. All Loki could do was sigh and look down at his feet. He knew that he messed up but didn't want to admit it. From that point forward, Loki vowed to look for the princess to make his father proud. That was the day everything changed for the princess and Loki.
