Lex POV:

I never expected a call. It was dead silent, other then the clock constantly ticking. Back, and forth. One second to another. Staring at the cell phone in my hand, I had to get up, and get ready for my shift at work. From 3-9 pm, it usually was. Heading upstairs from the empty living room, I grabbed the shirt I had been required to wear.

Staring at the time on my phone, I still had at the least, a few hours. But.. I did have a dream last night. There was a boy.. his name, I cannot remember. I was in a cafe, staring at the boy that came in for his coffee. I felt as though.. we had been connected in some way, shape, or form. Heading out of the cafe, they had looked towards me. I got up, following the boy who had to grab his morning coffee, before reaching out for the boys hand. Being parted by the busy streets, the other yelled something, before waking up.

It kept replaying in my mind. It was possibly one of the weirdest dreams I had in my whole life. Though, it hadn't been able to get out of my mind for the whole day. Almost as if.. it were Déjà Vu.

Ringgggg.. Ringgggg.. Ringgggg..

What? Could it be someone calling in..? But, it was a new number. Not someone from the area. It didn't contain the three numbers signaling it was from the area. Maybe, from another state? California, huh. How strange. I live in Texas though.. Maybe I should answer, it couldn't be a coworker though. Grabbing the phone, I had finally  answered it.

"Hello?"

What? But, I swear, I definitely recognized the voice. But, from where? It couldn't be a worker, because nobody sounded like that. His voice was a bit soft, not too low or too high. It seemed calm, and relaxed. As if they didn't give a care in the world, with no worries. Finally, I got the words to speak to the boy, yet I was confused.

"Hello.. Do I know you?"

Xmas POV:

I was supposed to call my friend, not to end up talking with a stranger. Maybe he had given me the wrong number. I don't know really, but it definitely wasn't his voice. A sense of panic filling me, I didn't know what to say. He took a deep breath, before hearing the person on the other line speak again.

"Uhm, hello... Are you prank calling me? A co-workers friend?"

I don't know what to say. He could judge me for my response. But, yet again. That voice was similar to the dream. Almost too similar to what he would've expected from the boy.

A early morning, around 9 AM. I needed coffee from anywhere, to begin to go back home. Ordering a coffee, brown eyes stared at me. I didn't want to say a word to him, feeling judged. Though, I eventually did look back, smiling. He had a caramel skin tone, with black hair. Going outside the cafe, I could hear the boys footsteps following me. He reached his hand out towards me. I yelled to him.

"Hey!! Why are you following me?!"

When I woke up, I felt creeped out. It felt too weird. It was almost too realistic. Was this a warning from the universe?

"Uhm, I'm going to hang u-"

"Don't hang up, please. I apologize, I was lost in thought for a second.."
