To one, what was fixed yesterday is now broken today. To many what is broken today can be fixed tomorrow. To me, what's broken can only be bandaged.
My hoofs trotted along the chattering, busy sidewalks of Paris, and as I glanced over the clashing river of cars impatiently heading to work, I caught a glimpse of the elegant Eiffel Tower above us. I couldn't help but smile at the beautiful site, so many people dreamt to see such a beauty, but I was blessed enough to see it every day on my way to work.
I just kept on trotting down the walk way, nothing new to see, no one new to run into or chatter with. "Clop, clop, clop, clop" everyone's hooves just clopped along the side walk and street, it almost sounded in sync. As i took one last step, unaware of what was to happen, I crashed into some pony I'd surprisingly never seen....ever. Unfortunately since I was on my way to work, I had my saddle bag stock full of stories, essays, sheet music, and even my flute, so it knocked me back quite a bit. As my sheet music and stories rained down from above, the colt held out a firm hoof, in an attempt to help me up, so I grabbed his hoof, in a quite nervous manner, and got up. I got an early start picking up my things, not even bothering to say hello, but he joined in and awkwardly attempted to put my flute in its case. He was doing it wrong, awfully wrong, so I grabbed his hoofs, and said,"these are quite the puzzle," and put it in correctly.
"Thank you, by the way." I said as I smiled at him blushing awkwardly.
"It was no trouble at all, actually, I was a bit of a drag." He said giggling.
I giggled along, but after I looked at my watch, my mood changed.
"I've got to go!" I said as I grabbed my things. "Thank you, and goodbye!"
I ran off to work, and payed no attention to the angry strangers I was pushing aside.
As I burst end through the door, instruments squeaked, and people looked at me in a weary fashion as the composer took powerful, yet silent steps towards me.
"What scum have I payed my eyes apon?" He asked coldly in disappointment.
My face, and snout looked up in shame, wide eyed, remorseful, and on the brink of crying a river.
"S-sir....I'm sorry for the commotion, I didn't mean to disturb anypon-" as he interrupted my words, he pointed to my chair....now at the end of the section. I could hear chuckles hidden away in a few sections, but after all....everyone was worth more than me now.
"Warm up." The gruff stallion said, as he called me into the back office.
"Sir. I'm sorry for interrupting but I had a little mishap on the way here." I said, in hope that he'd understand.
"No worries. It happens." He smiled.
My head nodded in a confused manner, as he said to me,"just, take the day off. And sorry for being so stern back there, I don't want the others to think I'm soft on anyone."
As I got home, I went to sleep.
