How you got the girl {EZRIA fanfiction}

Prologue

Aria Montgomery stepped into her car as she said goodbye to her parents. Her car was packed with her clothes and everything else she needed, including her favorite picture of Ezra. She was all set to go to talmadge college. The engine purred as she started up her car, a silver Honda Accord, she turned up the radio and she was on her way. It was a late Saturday afternoon in Rosewood, Pennsylvania. She drove down the all, too familiar streets of Rosewood. She started to think about how much this town really meant to her. After all, she did grow up here. As she passed Her old high school, Rosewood Day, she began to think about all the things that had happened to her, during the past four years. Ali was dead but then they found out she was alive, many of the people she knew had been killed, and all of the times -A had tortured her and her friends. She smirked, because she was remembering Ezra. Although she had broken up with him, she knew he still loved her. Although she wouldn't admit it, she still had feelings for him too.

She glared out the driver's seat window as she passed Ezra's apartment complex, she came to a sudden stop and parked her car along side the road. She didn't realize what she was doing at first. She tried to get herself to focus on getting back onto the road, but she couldn't. Something had caught her eye; Ezra's car. It was pulling into the parking area near his apartment. She saw him get out of his car, and she thought he saw her. She didn't care though, she leaned onto the wheel and her elbow hit the horn. As soon as he heard the horn, he recognized who it was. He walked over to car and she rolled down the driver side window. He leans in to chat with a dazed Aria.
"Aria? What are you doing here ?" He said , surprised she was here.
" Oh, uhm, I was actually just coming to tell you goodbye"she said in a sort of nervous, but a happy to see him, voice.
" Well, I wish I had known you were leaving today, " Ezra said, disappointed, and sad she was leaving.
" Sorry I thought You knew, Ive just been really busy lately, my mind has been on other things" aria said
"No, I didn't know, Are you leaving for talmadge ?" Ezra asks her.
" Uh yea, I mean I was, but I actually wanted to talk to you about something" Aria says, nervously.
" Can we go inside for a moment, Ezra?" She says with a nervous look on her face.
" Sure, is everything ok, Aria? You know you can tell me if something's wrong" he says , his eyebrow arched, as he grabs onto her hand. She gets out of the car, and gives him a big hug. They grab a hold of each other's hands and begin walking towards the door.

They walk inside to Ezra's apartment , and Aria sits down on the couch playing with her, nervously. Ezra sits down next to her and hands her a cup of coffee; it's just the way she likes it. Aria looks into Ezra's blue eyes, as she nervously sips her coffee. She can't help but smile when she's around him, even when she's sad. She has loved him since the day they first met at the bar. Even though she had lied to him about her age. She knew that no matter what she would always love him. Even when she thought she had fallen in love with someone else, she had realized that it wasn't as real as her relationship with Ezra was. Ezra turned on one of their favorite old movies.

She could tell he still loved her, just by the look he gave her. She knew the look ,just as well as he did, because she gave him that same look. She leaned her head onto his shoulder, as he sat back down on the couch. He moved the strand of her dark hair out of her face, and placed it behind her ear. She smiled, yawning. She sat up, her phone buzzed in her pocket. Aria took her phone out of her pocket, Andrew Campbell was trying to call her.
" I have to take this" she told Ezra, as she walked out into the hallway. She answered her phone, to Andrew, seemingly happy.
"Listen Andrew, I don't need you to keep tutoring me, and I never wanted to date you-" Aria began,as Andrew interrupted her.
"But you kissed me-"
" It doesn't mean anything to me anymore,I'm sorry, I don't like you, we were never a thing and never will be" Aria yelled into her phone,and hung up before Andrew could say anything. Aria walked back into Ezra's apartment and sat back down next to him.
" Aria, I'm not going to pretend I didn't hear your conversation with Andrew. Are you ok?" Ezra said.
"Yea I'm fine, Andrew is really weird. He thought I liked him, which I don't. I mean I kissed him because he was comforting me and I was in pain. I just don't want anything to do with him anymore." Aria said.
Ezra wiped the tears from her eyes, and smiled at her.
"Shh. It's ok. You're ok Aria, I'm here for you" Ezra calmed her down, and kissed the top of her head.

She looked up at and smiles. He put his
hand on the side of her head, and stared into her eyes. She stared back at him looking into his bright blue eyes, and she kissed his soft lips. She forgot how sweet they tasted, how much she truly loved him, and how much he truly meant to her. He kissed her back as she rests her head on his chest, she smiled and closed her eyes. Ezra was one of the few memories she couldn't get rid of, no matter how hard she tried. It was a good thing, she didn't want to forget him.

Aria decided to stay overnight, because she knew she won't be able to leave without a proper goodbye. She had been thinking a lot about having Ezra in her life, or not. She can't remember a time without him that was a good one, she never dated anyone who loved her and cared for her as much as he did. She can't imagine life without him. Aria sat up and stared at Ezra, she had a serious look on her face, and it's been a while since Aria had been so serious about something. Aria spoke without hesitation, she couldn't wait any longer to say something.
" I've been thinking about my future...." She said, " and I know for sure, that I want you in it".
