Chapter 1 The New World

Well im heading off to go hang out with Brooke and Michael ok Mom."Ok" said Mom. Well why I was heading to Brooke and Michaels house and i heard a loud rumbling and stopped for a sec,and looked around. I didnt see anything so i continued driving until i reached there house. So when i got there they were already outside and i asked "Do yall know what that rumbling was?" Brooke Replied "No i was going to ask you the same question." So we went inside and started to watch the news to see if anything happened. The news said that there has been a major toxic radiation leak in Nashville TN. I looked at Brooke and Michael and we didnt know what to say about this. We all looked back at the TV and saw that they are trying to stop the leak. The TV said that all the people that are breathing it the fumes and turning into crazy flesh eating people. We looked at eachother and said "Zombies!". I said to Michael ''What this cant be true there is no way that this is acually happening!" Michael replied "Well we can just sit hear we need to do something." Brooke said "Well then what do we need to do Nashville is only like an hour away from us?" The news said "We have stopped the leak but the fumes will be here for the next couple days but it sould be safe now." Then we all started to hear crashing outside. We got up and looked and people were freaking out so we decided  to get some stuff together. I got food and medicine that we might need. Brooke and Michael grabbed and the wepons and eletronics that we might need. We got in my car and started to drive away. I said to them "What do we do now and where do we go?" Michael replied '' I dont know we just need to get away from hear people are going crazy." Brooke said "Turn on the radio maybe they are giveing updates on whats happening." I turned on the radio and all we heard was someone screaming and yelling and heard some weird growling/moaning noise so we turned it back off. I said "None of the radio stations are working but that one and all we hear is someone dieing." Brooke said "Ok then lets just head away from down town because its crowded with traffic so we wont be able to get through." I said wait we have to go see if my mom is ok i cant just leave her." They both replied "Ok lets go.'' So we turned around and headed towards my house. Well we arived at my house. I walked into the house and asked my Mom if she had saw the news. My mom replied "Yes i heard it." I said "Well we are leaveing so lets go we are going to get away from here!" My Mom replied "Ok lets go but i have to get Tanzie/HerDog and my Bible. Well she got all her stuff and we left right away. We all got in the car and drove away. We have been driving for hours now and still dont know where to go. I said "We are going to run out og gas soon so where do i need to go. Brooke said "I don't know but there is a welcome to Missouri sign up ahead so now we know where we are at." I turn around and say to all of them "Welcome to The New World."
