it was quite early in the morning. the hallways of the giant building were quiet, in the distance you could hear the soft footsteps getting louder. a little boy, black hair with glasses had ran into his father while playing in the hall ways.

"ahh jeno, i told you not to run around here." his father said while patting his sons shoulder.

"sorry appa, i'm just excited." it was jenos first day at the company that his dad was the ceo of, instead of practicing he was roaming around the new building, waiting for the next trainee to arrive.

"go wait in the practice room." his dad had sent him off into the room while he continued about his day, being busy with ceo stuff.

it had been an hour and still no show of the new trainee, jeno was about to cry, he was left alone in the practice room with nothing to do.

"excuse me..." a soft voice spoke from the door that made jeno jump in his seat. a young boy, skinny with black hair had just entered the practice room.

"you must be the new trainee!" jeno said in excitement while he ran to the boy.

"oh yeah..i'm jaemin.." the boy said kinda shy at first but relaxing when he say the others cute eye smile.

"i'm jeno, today's my first day as well!" the two shook each other's hands and quickly got into the job they had to do, practicing in hopes to reach their dreams of debuting.

who knew that the two would become the best of friends, they did everything together. trained together, went to school together, ate together, and even shared the same dorm room, the two were inseparable and ceo lee knew that so he decided to debut the duo in a group called "nct dream" a unit of the more well know group "nct".

their path to success was going good until jaemin hurt his back and was sent home to recover. the days felt lonely and meaningless to jeno all the time jaemin was gone. of course he got to face time jaemin and talk to him on the phone but it wasn't the same. he got to see jaemin 24/7 but now barely had time to talk. of course he has the other member likes renjun who was a good friend but he wasn't the same as jaemin. without jaemin, a piece of jenos heart was missing, he missed his best friend. he missed him for a good year, gosh was jaemins recovery taking a while.

"c'mon jeno we gotta go." renjun nudged jenos shoulder, trying to get him out of the van.

"i don't wanna~" jeno whined and laid himself down on the seat. renjun sighed and called for the manager to pick jeno up since he wasn't gonna move on his own.

they had just arrived at the studio to record their new song "go" and jeno dreaded it because it would be another comeback without jaemin, but eventually he was forced into the building by their manager, still didn't change his mood though.

"jeno your next." mark said while giving his member a pat on the back.

"i don't wanna record" jeno huffed while crossing his arms.

"oh boy, you're gonna want to after you see who's in the studio." mark said a little quieter than his previous words but still jeno caught what he has said and quickly made his way into the studio.

he didn't see anyone at first but as he walked father in he saw a tall figure with brown hair inside the recording booth.

"why does renjun look so much like jaemin" jeno thought to himself but was soon left in shock when the figure turned around. it was in fact jaemin.

"nana!" jeno screamed and ran into the booth, engulfing his best friend in a tight hug.

"hi nono~ surprise~" jaemin hugged back while flashing his bright smile.
