Chapter 15

Rose quickly paid for her new clothes in the clothes store as she didn't bring anything from Ace's. Once she had paid, she quickly got changed in the changing room and ran to work mentally praying Ace won't be there.

Once she arrived she quickly looked on the shift sheet 'shit' she thought, she had the night shift that night. She run a hand threw her hair but was interrupted from her thoughts by the bell ringing ''Hey girl''

She turned around ''Hey Eyeball, what could I do for you'' she asked with a smile while cleaning a glass

''Nothin um, I actually need to ask you something'' he said nervously

''Sure what is it'' she asked

''I know you wouldn't do something like this, but I need to ask you this'' he fiddled his thumbs

''What'' she put down the glass ''Spit it out''

He took a deep breathe ''Did you cheat on Ace'' he asked

Rose's eyes widened ''No! I'd never do that. Plus I'm always with you guys or working'' she told him ''Who said that''

''Louise told him she had seen you with another guy''

''And he believes this'' she asked

''Seems like it. Everyone else doesn't. I'm just saying you should keep clear of him for now. He is in a shitty mood''

''Oh...okay'' she said quietly, trying her hardest not to cry

''Hey c'mere'' he went behind the bar and pulled her into a hug

''I really love him Eyeball'' she said quietly ''I can't lose him''

''Ace? Pfft. He'd never leave you. When he calms down he'll talk to you about it and you'll fuck and make up'' he replied making Rose giggle slightly

He stroked her hair and finally let her go ''I'm here for you, okay? Don't let this shit let you down'' Rose nodded slightly

''I gotta go. But me or one of the boys will come to check up on you every few hours, okay?''

''Thanks, Eyeball'' She sniffed ''If Ace says anything, please tell me''

Eyeball bit his cheek before nodding ''I will'' and waved goodbye

Rose wiped her cheeks as customers began to pour in. Trying her hardest not to cry or kill someone, faking her usual happy smile. A few hours after, Ace and Vince walked into the bar. Ace went straight to the pool table, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth. Ace went up to the bar ''two beers'' he leaned on the bar with his elbow 

''Sure'' she grabbed two beers and cracked open the tops ''Is uh, Ace okay?''

''I can't say anything'' he said

''Why? Look I know we haven't been the best of buddies but I need to know what he thinks of me. I didn't cheat on him. I'd never do that. I love him so much'' tears started to prick through her eyes ''I need to know the truth''

Vince sighed and turned around to face her ''It looks like your power couple is coming to an end. I'm sorry'' he took the beers to Ace and began to play pool

Rose held in her tears. She desperately needed Gemma or Eyeball. She took a deep breath and counted to ten, then ran to the bathroom and quickly grabbed her bag and rummaged through it, finding her foundation. She put it on, it made her red cheeks less noticeable

She walked out and Ace was waiting at the bar ''Ace'' she said quietly

He looked at her with slight pain in his eyes, then it disappeared to anger. He leaned over, close to her face ''We're done'' he slapped the money on the table ''Get your shit now before I burn it''
