Maddie's POV:It was a cold winter day in Pennsylvania. We were getting out of our street clothes and into our dance clothes. Today was the day for pyramid! Hopefully I am on top!!! We got first place for group, first for my solo, and first for Chloe and Paige's duo!! Abby was happy with our clean sweep.
As we walked in for pyramid I got really nervous. I really don't know why but something didn't feel right. Abby went on to the pyramid.
"At the bottom, Kenzie, Nia and Brooke. You guys really didn't do anything, all you guys were was in the group. Second row: Kendall, you really shined in the group number and Maddie, great job! You got first overall!"
Wait, why am I not at the top? I got first for my solo!
"And both at the top are Chloe and Paige! Great job for you first duet!! Okay so our group is kinda sassy yet it's a lyrical/contemporary number. It's called Beauty and A Beat by Justin Beiber. I know it's not a dance song but I wanna challenge you girls to dance to difficult music. Chloe and Paige you both have a solo along with Brooke. Nia, Kendall and Kenizie, you girls are doing a trio.Alright moms you are dismissed, and girls spread apart and start stretching!"
I slowly raised my hand. "Umm Miss Abby, do I have a solo?"
"No Maddie. Not this week"
I wanted to cry so bad! I had to be strong. We started to stretch and work on the group number. It is a really fun number! It has lyrical and hip hop! With contemporary! :)
It was time to work on the solos so I left the studio and went up to talk with my mom.
"Hey mom!"
"Hi sweetie! How's everything going?"
"Not so good. I'm not doing anything this week except the group. "
"Honey, everyone needs a chance to shine!"
My mom leaned to me and whispered "I will ask Miss Abby to enter you a solo."
I left to go go back to Studio A and then the moms started arguing.
Melissa's POV: I really hoped the moms didn't here me but for some reason the can't stay out of anyone's lives!
"Wow Melissa! Just wow!" Christi argued.
"What? Everyone always has a part to shine! It's just not Maddies week!" I yelled trying to be heard over the other mothers.
"No Melissa, it's not that that we are mad about. It's about what you whispered into Maddies ear!" Kelly shouted
"What are you talking about?"
"Come on Melissa. Stop trying to play this game like my two year old daughter!" Christi snapped.
"Here's what we are trying to say," Jill said trying to calm us down, "we feel like it's unfair that you are asking Abby to enter a solo just for a solo. Paige,Brooke,Kendall and Nia would like a solo every week but we keep our mouths shout and hope for the best. Now why can't you do that?"
"I would never said anything like that to my daughter! Plus I wouldn't teach her to do wrong things or say that it's not okay if you don't get your way!"
Ugh these mothers are horrible. Who knows where they would be if they didn't have anything to argue about.
"Then why did you Melissa? We all heard you tell that sweet little innocent daughter of yours that it will be okay, you'll get your way and Abby will enter you a solo!" Kelly barked.
"Shut up! No I didn't!!!!!!! Ugh, I'm out of here."
I got up and left. I went to go talk to Abby but then I thought no. The mothers would die if I did. So, I went to talk to Maddie and Mackenzie and .tell them I am going for now and that I would be back. So I left and went to go do some things. As I was leaving, I can still here the moms arguing.
