Shiva's POV
I could hear her behind me, and I didn't turn back.
"Hi," she said innocently, like she always does. I turned around, but my eyes dared not to look at her.
"You aren't going to say hi?" she asked.
I looked up, and my breath caught in my throat. She smiled, but her eyes had uncertainty in them.
A picture. It looked as if she stepped right out of an old picture.
"Hi," I finally managed. She nodded. The silence was awkward and-
"Ok I can't do this anymore," she said quickly. She stepped closer to me.
"You know I'm here to see you, even if it was hard and if you're just going to stand there and do nothing I'm going to throw you out of the imaginary window."
I suppressed the smile, she's no different from 6 years ago. Except for the fact that she looks prettier.
"Ok the window it is-"
"I waited for you," I said, "And I still am." My voice was barely above whisper.
Harsha backed away.
"Well... didn't actually think you'd sacrifice your life that way," she said slowly.
"What does that mean?"
You said you'd wait for me.
"Will you be disappointed if I said I was committed to someone?" her voice was higher than normal,
"Are you?"
"If I was, if. And That doesn't answer my question." I could feel my mouth go rigid. I started walking away from her.
This is why I didn't want to...

Harsha's POV
"Ay ay, don't run away." I pulled him back before he could walk any further into the crowded area.
"It was a joke," I said, "I was wondering." He stared at me.
"Why would you even ask that-"
I put a finger to my lips, "Shh shh," I said calming both of us down.
"Me and you," She said pointing with her finger, "Impulsive. One word description. Of course I would ask you that, and obviously you'd walk away before listening to the rest of it."
"It's not funny."
"Oh come one I just explained why," I whined. Shiva's expression was fixed, it showed nothing whatsoever.
"Okay, I know I shouldn't have done that, but I- you know how I am," I said as if it was an explanation.
Shiva shook his head.
"I don't. 6 years Harsha. 6 long suffering-(should have said f***ing but no severe bad words because I'm Indian)-years."
Harsha nodded, knowing that it would come to this.
"Of course," she cleared her throat, "I couldn't get here due to college, I'm going to stay here now that I'm done with it."
Silence....
"Did you ever think about me?" Shiva asked softly.
"What kind of question is that? Of course I did, every single day and night. It wasn't just you that suffered."
"I wanted to know. You almost thought of getting into a relationship-"
"That was a joke, are you still holding on to it."
Anand walked in.
"Are you guys seriously fighting," he asked, "Ooops, shouldn't have asked that. What a lovely conversation you guys are having," he said sarcastically.
Before they could reply, Anand said, "Harsha, I'm going to give you a break, go eat."
I looked at Shiva with fake annoyance, huffed and walked past.
