Clapping twice to turn off the bedroom light
You'd finally reached your bed after a long day of work
Your wife lying beside you, with your child lying between you twoThe next day you were back to work, excited about finally getting a promotion
You were about to call your wife, but she called you first
She was panicking, you could hear her telling your child to stay quietThere was a break-in
All excitement you had before was now gone, replaced with fear, guilt, and anger
Jumping in your car in a hurry, you raced down the street disregarding the speed limits entirely
Your main priority was to make it home before anything bad happenedYou were still on the phone with your wife, advising her to keep calm and not make any noise
Though unfortunately for the three of you
Her phone died
She had already called the cops
However, you were still in need of knowing what was going onYou had finally reached home, rushing towards your house in a panic
The door was wide open, the doorknob on the porch below you
The house was a mess now, but you didn't care
You ran to your shared bedroom looking for them, hoping you weren't too lateClapping twice to turn on the bedroom light
Your eyes widened in fear, as you covered your mouth due to gagging
Your wife covered in blood still holding onto your son, them both covered in each other's and their own bloodThey were gone
And though you felt empty, lonely
The three of you weren't alone
