Kakashi stood there by the railings, taken back by your answer. "(n/n)-chan, you said you would be a hero with me! A hero doesn't do such thing. Believe it!" Naruto claimed, eyes shut close as you shrug and leaned on his shoulder.

You pursed your lips, "I'm.. tempted to do it."

Kakashi then interrupted. "Good. You're each unique, and you have your own ideas. We'll have our first mission tomorrow." Happily, Naruto questioned. "Uh, what kind of mission are we going to have?"

"It's a task the five of us will do together."

"What? What? What? What?"

"A survival exercise," This time, you answered.

"Huh? Survival exercise?" Naruto repeated. "I thought we were supposed to have a real mission, not more practice." Sakura paused then continued, "We already did this stuff at the academy. That's how we got here."

"This is not like your previous training." The Jounin said in a stern voice. "So, uh—— So, uh, what kind of training is it then?" Naruto inquired, raising his hand causing Kakashi to erupt in a fit of laughter. "Hey, hold on. That's a normal question. What's so funny?"

"Heh, well, if I tell you the answer you're not going to like it." He reasoned, waving his arm around as you turned to the side. What's so surprising of a mere bell test? You straighten Naruto's legs and laid your head there, facing the sky.

"(n/n)-chan?"

You brushed some hair away from your face, "Don't mind if I do, Naru-chan." You snuggled in his lap and fell asleep. "Okay, then.." He looked back at Kakashi who looked at you and him weirdly.

Is there something going on between them?

He then shook off that thought. "Of the 27 graduates who just came here, only ten will actually be accepted as Genin. The other 17 will be weeded out and sent back to the academy. In other words, this is a make it or break it, pass-fail test, and the chance that you'll fail is at least 66%." He explains.

Naruto's eyes turned as wide as saucers. Small blue-ish purple vertical lines appeared on Sakura's face. Sasuke and you were being the apathetic bitches you were.

"See? Didn't I tell you, you wouldn't like it?" Kakashi said in a mocking tone. "That's crazy! We worked so hard to get here. Believe it! What was that graduation test for anyway?" Naruto complained.

"Oh, that. That was just to select candidates who might become Genin—— or not."

"What?!"

"That's how it is. I decide whether you pass or fail. Be at the designated training spot at 5:00 am, and bring your ninja gear." He instructed.

Well, I'm not going to be weeded out. People are going to look up to me someday. I've got to pass this test. Believe it. Believe it.
