nightmares

\slight bit of swearing at the beginning/

Morning/ 9:20 am:

"huh?" you were confused as mason, your boyfriend, was leaving the room but in a frustrated manner. "M-mason?" you stutter. "Fuck off" your boyfriend shouted. He's gone from your sight and you wonder what has just happened. What did you do to deserve that? You had only just woken up and the night before, you both were good as gold. What changed? This was so out of character for your normally loving boyfriend so you decide to go to see where he is. Slightly feeling a tear slip from the corner of your eye, you walk down into the kitchen to see mason angrily eating a bowl of cereal. "Babe? What's wrong?" you ask with a concerned look on your face. "Nothing. Leave me alone. You will eventually anyway." as he returned his gaze to his cheerios. "What are you talking about? I would never leave!" you reply and follow it up by reassuring him "I love you and I would never dream of leaving you, I promise." you were confused still. Why did he think this? Well you were about to find out as mason faced you for longer than a few seconds this time. "You cheated on me with my teammate. You left and I couldn't even say goodbye to you." "huh?! That has never happened" you reply with a raised eyebrow. "But I saw you with ben?" he said with slight question. "Are you sure it's not just a nightmare?" you ask, knowing you are probably right because that had never happened and would never have. "It felt so real... maybe it was. I'm so sorry" he apologises sincerely. "It's okay, don't worry" you reply while going over to him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, why don't you take us to get a maccies breakfast instead?" you offer mason. "Yeah sure, this cereal was pretty bland anyway" he lets out a small laugh and you start to laugh with him. You both make your way to the door, unlocking it and making your way to the car. On the car journey to mcdonalds, he places his warm hands on your uncovered legs. You feel safe when he does that. "Y/N?" "Yes mason?" you question, wanting to know what he has to say. "I love you and I'm so scared of losing you, I think that nightmare proves it" he parks up in the car park and places a kiss on your cheek. "I love you too. I guess that means I'll have the same nightmare because I'm scared of losing you too" you giggle and he lets you out of the car, holding a firm grip onto your hand. You both smile as you walk over to get breakfast.

sorry this is probably bad. I've never written something like this before but I've been reading loads of mason mount imagines (he's my comfort person) so I've gotten quite a bit of inspo from them!
