What it Feels Like to be Loved

*Please don't hurt me for not updating, here's a SMALL bit of Blackinnon fluff that no one gets enough of these days. Plus some awkward Jily times in the beginning*

(Marly POV)

"Good Morning, wankers" I grinned, walking down the stairs into the Gryffindor common room. A few first years shot me some concerned looks, but the wild grins I got from the two people waiting for me in the common room were completely worth it. 

"I see someone's in a good mood," laughed James. He pushed himself off the couch and moved to a nearby chair. I took his spot and laid down with my head on Sirius' lap, he just smiled down at me.

"What can I say, it's 6 in the morning and we get to go kick some Slytherin arse in a bit," I reasoned before looking back up at Sirius who hadn't said anything and was just sitting there smiling at me, "what's up with you? You haven't said anything since I came down?"

"I like to admire pure beauty in silence," his smile grew and I knew I turned pink. Sirius is very sweet but sometimes he turns into this fluffy, lovable, puppy and when he's like this I can get so easily flustered because it breaks down all of my walls and I just love him more and more.

"Gross," James made a fake retching noise, "breakfast is in five minutes and I think I lost my appetite already."

"SHoVe Off," I groaned throwing a pillow his way, "You'd be worse if you were with Lil,"

"Then maybe if you help me get her to say yes, then I'll stop-"

"NO!" Sirius and I looked over in unison remembering what happened last time we tried to help James.

"Bullies," muttered James. Sirius shook his head and I rolled my eyes.

"Of course, I could feel the bullshit upstairs shoulda known it'd be you, Potter" Lily appeared out of nowhere. I looked wide-eyed up at Sirius and he looked back down at me, and in silent agreement, we both left the room and headed for breakfast.

"I'm glad we left when we did," I giggled walking down the corridor. Sirius threw an arm over my shoulder and kissed my temple.

"You turned pink, cute" he smiled hugging me a little closer.

"What has gotten into you today? Are you sick or something," I placed one of my hands on his forehead like I was checking for any signs of a fever. He just smiled and pulled my hand away kissing it and continued walking. I chose to just enjoy the comfortable silence the rest of the way to the Great Hall. Once we got to the Gryffindor table instead of parting ways and sitting across from each other Sirius just kept ahold of me and sat down right next to me by my usual spot. Throughout our quick breakfast, he kissed my forehead and let me lean on his shoulder. We got a few weird looks because it wasn't normal for us to be so couply even though we were a couple. After we finished and James joined us shoving a few pieces of bacon a slice of toast down his throat we headed out to the pitch to warm up before the rest of the team got there. Even during warmups, Sirius was being cute, sending me winks or little smiles. Whenever I did something moderately good he'd make a dorky comment like; "That's my girl", "You get 'em girl", or "Breathtaking" to all of these I responded with an eye roll and a smile. One by one or in pairs the rest of the team finally showed up and joined us in a quick pregame warmup. We retired to the locker rooms to discuss the game plan, however, oddly enough none of the Slytherin players had shown up yet, over-privileged pricks. While James and Sirius discussed possible plans for the game Professor McGonagall stepped in.

"Mister Potter, if you don't mind I have some poor news,"

"What's up, Minnie?" asked Siri.

"Due to the captain of the Slytherin team falling sick the match has to be rescheduled, they apologize for the inconvenience and hope to beat you on another day."

"The only one who apologizes is Reggie,"

"They know they're gonna lose,"

"Really. He's not playing because he's sick, weak"

"Hey, hey none of that the match is rescheduled for next weekend Saturday same time," With that Minerva left and the entire locker room was full of mixed emotions. Some Players were in an uproar because of the late reschedule, others were relieved feeling the house rivalry pressure postponed, and some were in the middle, not fully processing the news due to it still being early on a Saturday morning. 

"Well, I guess this means I get to spend the whole day with my favorite person," whispered Sirius' steady voice in my ear as he appeared behind me out of nowhere.

"Only you would think that way," I giggled, "what crazy idea do you have today?"

"I'm thinking picnic in the Astronomy Tower and cuddles and giggles."

"I like where your head is at," I grinned up at my boyfriend. He wrapped his arm around my waist and placed a kiss on top of my head.

"Go get changed into something comfier, and I'll get the food from the kitchens," He said as we left the locker room together leaving the remaining teammates who had not left yet alone with a sad James Potter. I walked with Sirius to the entrance then we separated, I headed for the dorms, and he headed for the kitchens. After I changed into a pair of comfy shorts and one of Sirius' shirts, I happened to snatch thanks to Remus, I headed to the Astronomy Tower. Sirius met me at the top of the stairs, I don't know how he managed it but not only did the Tower look like a fairytale but he also had time to change. I took in the picnic blanket spread out with snacks and food, then the pillows to sit or lay down on, and finally, I took in Sirius who was smiling at my reaction in his worn-down blue jeans and a Queen t-shirt. 

"I love you," I whispered.

"I love you too, darling" I'm going to marry this man, I promise you that. I will marry the man who showed me what it feels like to be loved.

I know. I know. I know, very short, hurriedly written, and horrendous. I just felt bad for being so busy and this was what I could do with the time that I had. I love you all to bits for sticking around and/or joining this mess, I'll try to do better but there's a LOT of shoot going on in my life atm so it may be another 6 months or maybe two days who knows, but I promise I will update!
