(George's POV)
Golden as I open my eyes. I see a golden man in the field in front of me. Golden hair, golden jumper with just a simple smiley face on it.
Okay... maybe the jumper was green... I am colour blind after all, but to me he is golden.
"Hey!" he yelled at me, as he ran in my direction.
OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD. He was running towards me!
I mean we where the only ones in the field, and I was under the one shady tree, not to mention it was a very hot day and under the tree was cool partly due to the mini lake next to it.
(UNDER THE TREE, BUM BUM BUM BUM
UNDER THE TREE BUM BUM BUM BUM
I AM A DOG UNDER A LOG UNDER THE TREE)
(Sorry I just had to do that, anyways)
"Hey" he said to me "What's your name?"
"George" I answered.
ON MY GOD THAT SOUNDS SO STUPID I THOUGHT
"Cute name" He said.
WAIT... DID HE CALL MY NAME CUTE?
"It's perfect for you" he said.
"My name's dream"
No wonder that's his name, he's like a dream.
But also kind of a nightmare, and I know that I'm scared because he looks like the kind of person people hearts get broken over.
"Do you mind if I sit with you" he asked.
"You can sit with me" I manage to stutter out.
He smirked a little at my my nervousness.
"Soooooo... gogy.... How are you doing?" he asked
"I'm good" I stuttered. WHY WAS I STUTTERING? WHY CAN'T I BE COOL AND HOT LIKE THE GUY I'M WITH?
Okay... I just met him slow down, 'Gogy'.
'Gogy'
What an nice nickname.
He sat next to me under the tree.
"So Gogy, what are you doing here?"
"Just clearing my mind" I manage to say with less stuttering.
"Same here" he replied. "I guess we can clear out minds together"
"So where you from Gogy? You have a nice accent." Dream asks me
"England"
"Cool"
"Are you local? Where're you from?" I ask.
"I'm from Florida, but I moved to LA for a change." Dream replies casually. "I come to this field for a break sometimes, there's just something so relaxing about being in a quiet, open field, surrounded by nature, especially this field since it just has that perfect feeling you know? Something about here? I mean places like here are rare, how often are there perfect untouched fields hidden in Beverly Hills?"
(I've never really tried this since I live in a city and there aren't many large fields nearby, and I live in Australia so there is the constant threat of snakes, but the closest I've been is being on a bike track with my bike looking for my friends, usually needing to go to the bathroom out of nerves since I'm alone looking for my friends in an area with lots of snakes.)
"I was driving along the lanes nearby and I saw this field and decided to take a break by sitting under this tree." I explained to Dream.
"So it's your first time here?" Dream asks.
"Yes..." I answered, worried he was going to dislike me for it.
"Then you probably don't know some of the best things here." I he said happily, while jumping up then grabbing my hand and running though the field.
OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD!!!
HE WAS HOLDING MY HAND
We were running though the field, down the hill the field was on until we came up to some rundown wooden cottage.
Clay then picked the lock and dragged me into the cottage, and I looked around.
"Why did you break into here?" I asked.
"I wanted to show you one of the things about this placed that's so special, one of the last old buildings in LA." He answered.
"It beautiful" I whispered while looking around the small hut.
There was a small old bed in the first room along with a small kitchen which consisted of an old metal stove and a bench along with a few cupboards. The second room was separated by a 2 half walls, one on the side of the kitchen and the other had the small bed pressed against it. The second room had an old beaten table and a small fire place.
"I know" Dream whispered. "I love it here, it feels like stepping into the past."
If I could, I would live in this moment forever with dream.
But I can't, life moves on.
For the best or the worst.
Do you know what? For the best because suddenly I made eye contact with Dream and we looked into each other's eyes.
Then he stepped forward, once, twice, thrice, then he stopped right in front of me. And for a moment it felt like we where about to kiss.
Do you know what? Life moves on for the worse since Dream's phone suddenly rung. He took his phone out of his pocket and checked who was.
"Sorry, I have to take this" He said, occupied with his phone.
He quickly walked out of the cottage without another word. I waited inside, and gave him privacy by eavesdropping on his call.
Then he poked his head in.
"I need to go, work reasons." He informed me
"Ok" I replied disappointed.
"You ok?" He asked me, tilting his head a little.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said trying my hardest to keep the disappointment out of my voice.
"Bye" He said before turning to go run up the hill to wherever his transport is.
"Bye" I call after him, but he probably didn't hear.
I wish he didn't have to go.
That we could stay together forever.
To be honest I was a little scared of him, since I only just met him but he could already break my heart like no other. I wonder if he knew that I was scared because hearts could get broken. I wonder if he felt the same about me.
But I guess that is just a Dream. And it time to get back to reality.
