I sat on my bed. The flowered sheets and quilt always made me feel at home, even when my real home was Hogwarts. I looked around my room again, making sure I didn't miss anything I needed. Let's see...
Wand? Check. Parchment? Check. Books? Check. Quills? Check.
Clothes? Check. Muggle items? Check. Pet owl? Check.

I was all set. Wait!
I hopped off my bed and grabbed my blue hairbrush off my dresser, couldn't forget that. Stowing it away in my trunk, I heard a knock at the door. I knew the knock. It was Petunia's, I could tell the way she knocked like she wanted to get away from me as soon as possible.
"Come in, Tuny," I answered.
"Don't call me that, you freak. Just come down for dinner. Mummy's prepared something special, and apparently she still wants you there even though you're a freak," she answered me.
"Don't call me a freak, Petunia. I'm just special," I answered.
"Still friends with that Snape boy? The one that tells you you're special? How pathetic," she spat.
"Yes, I'm friends with Severus! At least he's better than Vernon," I retorted. True...Severus was turning into a terrible Slytherin.
"Don't insult my boyfriend, at least I have one. I doubt anyone at your freak school would date you!" She screamed.
"In fact, James Potter asks me out weekly! And I must say, he's not the only one!" I said back. My sisters face was now three shades redder than it normally was, and I'm pretty sure mine was red too. It upset me so much to fight with her, she used to be my best friend, now we hate each other.
"Well I don't care! You'll just end up marrying another freak, have freak children, and raise a freak family. Come to dinner you stupid little freak!" She said, then flounced down the stairs. I shut my eyes. Tomorrow. Tomorrow I would be with my friends. I would be with Severus. How wonderful, I couldn't wait. I put a smile on my year stained face and walked downstairs to eat.
Tomorrow I would see the Mauraders, annoying as they were, I always smiled...well...when they weren't being prats. How foolish they could be.
That's why Remus was my only friend of the four of them. Pale young boy with scars, I always found it strange how he disappeared once a month, but if his family was private business, I wouldn't bother him about it.

I haven't seen Molly Prewett since spring, or Alice Abott since I went to her house a few weeks ago.
Severus used to live near me, but he stopped coming over, and I have no clue where Remus was.
Mary Lovegood and her brother Xenophilius were friends of mine too. I always found it weird that he had such a long name, I generally called him Xy, pronounced Exey, and she had such a short name. Oh wait, her real name was Margret, but I still found it odd.

"There's my Lily! I haven't seen you since this morning!" My mother said, hugging me while i stood there awkwardly, ignoring the glares from Tuny.
"I was packing. I have to leave tomorrow. You can drive me right?" I asked my mother. Tuny was rolling her eyes and I swear I heard her say 'good riddance'
"Oh course darling! This is your sixth year, my goodness! Only one year left after this!" She exclaimed.
We sat down to eat dinner. It smelled good, but truthfully I couldn't wait for another Hogwarts style feast.
"Pass the salt, freak," Tuny said.
"Petunia! How many times have I said this! Don't call your sister that! She's a wonderful witch with the highest grades in her year!" My mother beamed. Petunia stabbed her pork chop with her fork. I ate in silence.

"Oh! I cannot believe I forgot! I need to save one of my uniforms to wear to Hogwarts! I have to get it out of my bag!" I lied. Truthfully I just couldn't stand the awkwardness.

"Well, better fix that," my mom said.
"May I be excused?" I asked. She nodded. I hurried away. Oh thank goodness. I just wanted to be alone for the last time this year. Once I was at Hogwarts, there was no peace and quiet. At all.
