Today Dustin and I are going to say I do, at the moment I'm standing in a tent waiting to walk down the aisle to my future husband. We decided to write our own vows, to show how we truly feel about each other. Dustin's brother ditched saying that he had better things to do then watch his younger brother make the biggest mistake of his life. All I say to that is, he's an asshole, Dustin said that his brother doesn't get a say in anything that's happening. He loves me and that's all there is to it, if his brother doesn't understand that then it's his problem. We got in our places, my mom next to me with my hand in hers, and Layla in front of us. The music began to play, my mom looked at me with a look silently asking me if I'm ready for this. I smiled at her and nodded my head letting her know that I'm ready for this, I'm ready to be married. She nodded her head and we walked out of the tent and down the aisle to see Dustin standing there with a smile on his face, when we reached him my mom kissed me on the cheek.
"I love you baby girl."
She whispered, taking my hand in hers and handing it to Dustin, the person who was marrying us began the ceremony.
"I understand the both of you have chosen to write your own vows so if the groom would like to start us off."
He said looking at Dustin, Dustin took my hands in his looking me in the eyes.
"Erica, when I first met you it was by accident, when I first saw you I was in absolute shock and awe at your raw beauty. When I heard you talk your voice mesmerized me and kept me frozen in my spot, I fell in love with you right then and there. I fell in love with the bad ass bitchy attitude that came with you, we made a deal to help each other, you made it to try and help me while I made it to get closer to you. I learned more about you in those few days of that deal and as I got to know you I fell even harder, I love you Erica Linn Waters with all my heart. I don't know what I would've done if I wouldn't have bumped into you that day, you are my greatest accident and you always will be."
A tear slid down my cheek and a smile was on my face, now it was my turn to say my vows, I was going to sound so bad I dreaded this shit from day one.
"To be perfectly honest I was a real bitch to you in the beginning, I can't believe that I made it here that I made it where I am now. I made it to where I don't ever want to be without you, you fell in love with someone who was damaged and looked passed all of that, you looked past all my problems. You love me and I couldn't ask for anything more than your love, the day you told me how much you love me was the happiest day of my life. The day you proposed was the day I gave my whole heart to you, things for us have been up and down since day one. Now with you in my life, it's finally perfect, I couldn't ask for anything more, I love you Dustin forever and always."
He looked at me with his bright gray eyes.
"Well aren't we a not so sweet couple."
We both laughed, nodding our heads at each other as well as our guests laughing.
"Yeah, well we don't need to be sweet or sappy with our vows because we have love, real love that will last till our dying breath."
He looked at me with happiness and fear in his eyes knowing what the future has to hold for us, for him, he looked at the pasture letting him know it's alright to continue. He looked over at Layla who was holding the rings and nodded to her to hand them over, Layla stepped forward handing Dustin the ring first before stepping back. The pasture started what he had to say, Dustin took my left hand playing with my engagement ring for a second before smiling up at me and the pasture started.
"Do you Dustin Lee Renn take Erica Linn Waters to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
He slid the silver band on my hand in front of my engagement ring, I looked at my hand and smiled down at it before looking back up at Dustin. Layla stepped forward and handed me the ring for Dustin, I took it from her taking Dustin's left hand in my right one, I looked at the pasture letting him know to continue.
