~First Date~
It's been two months since we buried Dustin and according to Jay I need to "Get out there" and start seeing people again the only problem with that is he meant him. When he brought it up I chuckled and walked away, just to mess with him I asked Dustin's friend Jake if he wanted to go to a movie with me. He said yes and I'm super excited to see Jay's reaction when Jake comes to the door. Jake is really cute, he has bright yet dark blue eyes and black hair that makes him stand out, he's also super smart and loves kids so that's a plus if things actually go any further than just a first date. I walked out of my room in my black, blue, and pink dress wearing my tan high heels and carrying a tan clutch with me. I walked into the kitchen to get something to drink just as Jay turned around to see me. I spun around slowly so he could get a good look at what he may never have before turning back to face him.
"What are you so dressed up for?"
He asked, not being able to take his eyes off of me.
"I have a date."
I said, sounding really excited when actually Jake and I are just going to hang out, it's not a real date but Jay didn't know that. He actually looked really jealous and kinda mad but I still found it funny as hell, he looked at me shaking his head.
"You're unbelievable ya know that?"
"What? You told me to get out there and start seeing people again and that's exactly what I'm doing. Are you seriously going to get mad at me for doing what you told me to?"
"You know who I meant not who ever the hell you're going out with tonight, and yes I am because the one time you choose to actually listen to me it's over this."
I stepped forward looking at him and just as I was about to speak the doorbell rang, I went to walk away but Jay gripped onto my wrist.
"We're not finished with this."
"Yes we are Jay."
I walked away and answered the door, I gave Jake a hug before we walked down to his car. He was wearing black shoes with dark wash jeans, a white t-shirt with a red flannel over it covered by a black cardigan. Damn he looked fine as hell it's a good thing I ain't married, I looked away before looking back at him.
"So where are we going?"
"I definitely want to get dinner, so where do you wanna go for dinner?"
I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't care, you choose, I'm not picky when it comes to food."
"Alright, how about I surprise you and just drive till I see a restaurant and we pull in, deal?"
"Deal."
I smiled turning up the radio when the song My House by Flo Rida I smiled even more and began to sing along to the music. Jake sang with me and we laughed through the ride with the music blurring. He pulled into a restaurant parking lot and I looked up at the sign to see that it was Mouth of the south. I smiled, this is my favorite restaurant, I never got to show it to Dustin before he passed away, I got a sad look before I quickly covered it up and got out of the car. Jake and I walked into the restaurant taking our seat since it's a seat yourself casual restaurant. I absolutely love this place and I have no clue how he found out that I did but I was going to find out. I smiled at Jake as he looked at the menu while I sipped my ice tea, he looked up at me before looking back at the menu.
"So how did you know that this was my favorite place to eat?"
Jake looked up at me with a smile.
