The way the boy holds the cigarette
The way he presses it against his lips
These things I can never forget
It's bad but my heart skips

You'll never feel the same
My heart continues to ache
What have I became
For you I break

Y/n sat there on the rooftop finishing her writing and looked up to see her best friend Yangyang smoking. Though she hated it so much, he was the exception. He was always the exception no matter what the situation was. The two were quite the opposites. Y/n was quiet, shy, and obedient while Yangyang was talkative, outgoing, and rebellious. He was the sun to her moon, they both knew that. Nights like these made her heart hurt the most as she would think of how he would never be hers.

"Yo, my lighter died out on me, you got any matches on you?" Yangyang already knew she had matches on her but never knew why. Her excuse was forgetting they were in her bag and that they were simply for her candles in her room. It was partly true, she did love scented candles as he had seen some lit in her room. However, he was the reason why the matches were in her bag.

"Yeah hold on," She takes the pack out and lights the match up. She hands it over to him and puts the pack away. No matter how much she hated his cigarettes, she never failed to light one for him.

"Hey so I know I've never asked but what's the notebook for? I know you're a journalism major and all but you said all your assignments are finished in class" Yangyang had always wondered about the notebook that his best friend would constantly pull out to write in. She had a different each year since the 6th grade, but he had never questioned her.

"Ah well it's just for notes in class," she lied because the notebooks she had written in kept some of her biggest secrets. One of the main ones being her crush on her own best friend.

"Alright then, it's getting late so maybe we should head back to the apartment," Yangyang brushed off what she had said looking at the time. They head back to their shared apartment and sleep for school the next day.

At school the two split off into their classes. Yangyang was a business major and despite his notorious behavior, he was the best student there. Since Y/n were a journalism major, there was obvious competition in the class at times. However there is one girl in that class who will get what she wants, no matter what she has to do to get it. Sooyoung was one of the more popular, outgoing, and social girls, like Yangyang. Yangyang sparked her interest in freshmen year of college when he had given her his jacket because he spilled milk tea on her top. Since then, she has relentlessly gone out of her way to get to chance she can to talk to him.

Knowing she was friends with him, she had tried to make friends with Y/n to get closer to him. That did not end up working as Y/n didn't want to be friends with her. Yangyang was the only person she wholeheartedly trusted considering he had never left her side. Girls like her were bound to leave someone like Y/n.

In class today, Y/n hadn't gotten enough sleep because Yangyang stayed up all night playing video games with his friends. So when leaving today she had left one thing behind. On the other hand Sooyoung saw that one thing and picked it up. She thought it was a notebook for notes but boy was she wrong. Reading through the pages, a smirk crept upon Sooyoung's face as she had an announcement to make at lunch,

Going to lunch, Yangyang sees his best friend walking alone and catches up to her.

"Sup loserrrr" he grabs her shoulders.

"Hey Yangyang" she didn't even bother to look at him

"Angel you okay?" His nickname for her was Angel because he believed she was really sent from heaven as she was pure hearted and innocent.
