"Survival of the richest, the city's ours until the fall."

A slam on the table brought everyone's attention back onto the person standing at the end of the table. "Can everyone just shut up for one second?"

"No." The person on the farthest left said as she went back to teasing their partner's thigh with one of their pocket knives.

"Is that so?" The person started making their way toward them. They reached them, spinning them around on their chair and making them drop their knife on the floor. The fallen object echoed throughout the whole room.

"Do you want to say that again?"

"It was a joke! Come on Kirari! It was just a joke!" The person on the chair tried to slither away from the hole they had just dug themselves in. They looked toward their partner which just seemed to ignore them. Or perhaps they didn't want to get stuck between this crossfire of theirs.

"A joke you say?" Kirari, the said woman, was standing over the now scared person. She brought her hand up to their face, gently touching the area around their right eye. "Maybe next time you should watch what comes out of your mouth, or else..."

She forcefully closed the person's eye, pressing her thumb over the eyelid. "I'll take your other eye. And it's not because I want to see the back side of it, but because you annoy the fuck out of me."

"Please don't. I'm sorry!" They begged.

Kirari gently slapped their face, "then you should probably learn how to control your mouth, Midari."

Kirari stood up, patting down any dust that she might have gotten. She looked at the woman next to Midari, "and you?"

They slowly turned their head to look at Kirari. "Yes my lord- I mean Kirari..."

Small giggles were heard around the room, but one small look from Kirari and they shut up.

"Lord?" She brought her hand up to her mouth to cover her laugh. "Is that what you think of me? Your lord?"

The woman started to panic. "No, it's not that..."

"Oh? Then what is it?" Kirari asked, as she slowly drummed her fingers on her arm.

"Midari and I... we've been binge watching Harry Potter these past days... and well, you sort of give out Voldemort vibes..." She squinted harder, embarrassed of what she had just said.

Kirari stared at her. "At least I have a fucking nose." She started walking back to her seat, nobody dared to look at her. Well mostly nobody.

The only one looking at her was the woman who had fallen madly in love with her.

God, she'd do anything for Kirari in a heartbeat, and Kirari knew that.

No wonder that was the only reason she kept her around.

"Oh, and also..." she turned back around, eyeing the woman. "Keep your dog on a leash, Yuriko."

"Yes! Of course Kirari! It won't happen again!" She quickly brought her head down, showing Kirari that she was the one in charge. "Right, Midari? It won't happen again?" Yuriko nugged the human next to her who had seemed to have been zoned out.

"Huh? Oh right..." they mumbled.

"Fucking pathetic." Kirari whispered.

She made her way back to her chair. She made eye contact with Sayaka, the woman that was in love with her. Kirari smirked, "I mean, at least my dog knows how to control herself. Isn't that right my dear?"
