At the age of 18 a boy loses his father. The boy's name? James Stervin. He sees his father's casket covered in the American flag and what does he do? He cries like any normal person would do. Within the next few days he contemplates what he could do with his life since he has no one to talk to. He graduated high school two months ago and his girlfriend recently broke up with him. His life pretty much went down the shitter.
The next morning he walks out of his bedroom and into the kitchen where his mother was making breakfast. "Morning mom" said James. "Morning, you figured out what you want to do?" Said his mother. With the smell of bacon and toast in the air, he said what he wanted to do and the pressure on his chest was lifted while his mother stared at him, stunned. All of a sudden she burst into tears. "You want to follow your father?" His mother said. "Yeah. I want to make a difference." He replied. Thus begins his life as a soldier.
