The hallway was the first time I saw him. My belongings had been scattered across the floor in the haste to get to my G period class, French. Ms. Voncavich would have my head if I was late. Imagine, her best student...late? Yeah, so not happening. Anyways, he was walking by, a group of his football friends trailing behind him and laughing.
"Aha!" I heard a deep laugh and looked up. My eyes met the most beautiful pair of blue ones in the world. His hair was naturally light, light blonde and wavy, cute, really. I gave him a death glare, flipping my lifeless reddish/blonde hair over my shoulder, trying to fashion it into something prettier than the ugly state it lay in now. He gave a last glance, and a smirk, over his shoulder before ducking into a room, just a few down from the French classroom. 'Ah..Spanish.' I noted mentally.
"Need a hand, Sullivan?" Jenny ducked down and scooped up some of the flash cards, tucking them into the ripped pocket of the purple folder.
"Thanks, Jen."
"Hey, Evan?"
"Hm?" I muttered absentmindedly, rising to my feet and beginning to walk to French, slowing just a hit as Jenny ran to catch up.
"Who was that kid talkin' to you? I know he's one of 'em, the popular kids. But...why you?" She asked innocently.
"Dunno his name, first day of school after all. I think he's in my English and Gym classes, though."
"Find out, girl. He's cute." Jenny moved her close-to-brunette-but-blonde hair over her tanned shoulder.
"Heh...I know," I muttered, lowering my voice as we stepped by the Spanish classroom and entered the French one. "I know."
