Angie smiled to Alice as she sat down, ignoring Rosalie's scowl. Almost none of them understood why Alice wanted to be friends with her so badly. Knowing she was Demetri's mate only made them want to stay away.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come stay the night at our house?" Looking around the table, Angie gave Alice a sad smile as she saw almost everyone's faces. "Sorry I'm uh... Yeah can't lie. I don't stay at people's houses when the vast majority of the people who live there don't like me. Sorry."
Quickly picking up her bags as the bell rang, Angie gave Alice an apologetic look as she ran out the lunch room.
Starting to pick up their own things, most of the Cullen and Hale kids watched as she ran off. "At least she's observant." Alice glared at Rosalie as she walked off to class.

Sitting down next to Emmett, Angie ducked as he threw a paper ball at her. "How do you always do that?" Smiling to Emmett, Angie started to take off her backpack. "There's this little voice in my head, telling me to duck."
Emmett and Angie stared at eachother for a moment before she started to laugh. "No I'm just kidding." Emmett let out a sigh of relief. "Or am I?"
Staring at her for a moment, Emmett laughed."That's a good one-" "-I know right? Surprisingly it always works!"
