"Titania! Run! It's coming after you!"
"Miss Serenity, are you listening!?"
Celeste woke from her trance and shook her head to get rid of her previous thoughts. "Yes, Mr.Cane?"
"This is the fifth time you've slept through half the class period." He remarked.
"I'm so sorry. I haven't slept well these couple of days." She apologized with a yawn at the end.
"I'll let you slide this time. If you ever sleep again in my class, you will get detention."
"Yes, sir. I understand."
The girls started to giggle and the boys laughed with red faces at holding their breaths. Celeste turned red and tilted her head down in embarrassment. "Ugh...." she groaned. "This is pathetic....I won't pass this class's again."During the next minutes of class, Celeste was just dozing off with her trances. This was getting out of hand, it was annoying her, but gratifying her at the same time. Each time when she felt angry, visions of anger came through her mind, and so often. Her trances were knowing her emotions and feelings and showing strange flashbacks, it interested her in someway.
The school bell rang as the students were talking and laughing with joy, but Celeste. She was still humiliated for her actions. This was the tenth time she got laughed at. Before her reveries came to her, she was a joyful person with eagerness, but it all changed after her 17th birthday came. She felt left out, unwanted, and a bothersome to her family and friends, at least that's what she thought of herself.
She packed her school belongings in her small bright pink backpack. She sighed. "When will I take a brake?"
She stepped out off her math class. She headed towards her locker, and unlocked the combination to her lock.
It's coming for you! Run! Hide! A voice yelled with worry inside her head.
Who are you....?
It does not concern you! That's the least of your worries! Concentrate on what I'm saying! It is important! Run!
"Earth to Celeste! You with me?" A feminine yelled at the poor girl and snapped out of her thoughts. Celeste flinched and looked at the person who woke her up. She sighed. "Oh. It's just you, Morgan."
"Well, duh! Of course it's me!" The brunette sarcastically told her, rolling her eyes at her friend and crossed her arms around her chest.
"Sorry. I was in a trance again," Celeste said with a frown. "It's okay. I know you weren't yourself this past week. I understand." Morgan supported Celeste with her signature soft hazel eyes. "How about you go to the nurse's office? She'll help you. You just need to take a rest. I'll tell Ms.Harley about your health." Morgan was one of Celeste's few friends that she felt safe around. Whenever she felt lonely or sad, Morgan was always there to cheer her up. Morgan was a sister to Celeste, like any other older sister, Morgan was concerned for Cleste at all times.
"Thanks, Morgan. What will I do without you?"
"You'll probably be pissed off."
Celeste giggled. She closed her locker door and walked to the nurse's office. Morgan hugged her best friend before she left.
Celeste stood in front of the nurse's office door. She knocked three times until she heard a "come in." She entered and saw the nurse sitting on her desk chair and writing on her computer. She saw Celeste and smiled at her. "Hello, dearie. How may I help you?"
"My friend, Morgan, wanted me to come here. I have been feeling dizzy and slept throughout my classes." Celeste said with a soft and small voice. The nurse stood up from her chair and walked towards her. She felt her forehead woth her hand and gasped. "Oh, dear! You have a fever!," the nurse cried. "Come, you must sleep on the bed. You must be really tired."
Celeste was confused. She only felt dizzy and drowsy, she dint feel anything related to a fever, but she did feel naseous at times. "Okay." The girl replied. She did as she was told, and slept on the comfortable bed.
This is not the right time to rest, Titania! It is coming and you know that! If you want it to consume you, and so be it! But you'll never live and revive ever again! This is your only chance to escape it! If you dont, then it will destroy all of us. It will destroy both, the courts and us, the butterflies!
Who are you?
Like I said! It does not concern you! Now wake up!
Celeste woke with an expression on fear, it was visible for others to see. She was panting and sweating, she breathed very quickly. The nurse noticed and had a concerned face. "Please go back to sleep. It's not good for your health when you're awake like that. It will worsen your health."
"But-but I'm not tired. I....uh....feel better now. I'm fine, really. I think I should go." Celeste lied with a shaky voice. "Nonsense!" The nurse got a thermometer out from her desk drawer and told Celeste to open her mouth, she fight back but it was uselesss. The nurse mangaed to get the thermometer in her mouth. A few minutes later, the thermometer beeped and the nurse checked her temperature. "Huh....your fever is gone. That's wierd. Fevers normally take a few days to recover from."
"Uh....yeah, I know. Weird. Can I leave now?"
"I think so....yes, you may leave now."
Celeste stormed out of the room and ran to the entrance hall. The glass double-doors were locked.
What the heck!?! It can't be locked! She thought.
She tried to pull the door, but she failed.
I just need to find an open passageway....
How about Mr.Cane's open window? Last time I saw his room, he had an open window. Now hurry up, before it eats us!
Celeste didn't even bothered to hesitate for a moment, she just ran to Mr.Canes class.
When Celeste got closer to the teachers class, she paused for a brief moment, thinking about her actions.
I can't just interrupt the middle of a class session! She cried to the voice.
It does not matter! I can't risk seeing you die! I won't do the same mistake! Not again!
What?!
Shut up, and listen to me, you ungrateful brat! If you want to escape, then you better follow my instructions!
Fine! What do I have to do?
After a minute of directions, Celeste was now ready and nothing was on her mind for the moment, but one thing: what was she running from?
