Yelena POV

I take a look at myself in the mirror having one final look at my dress. I was wearing a beautiful black dress with my hair done in a bun and my makeup was done to perfection. I head out of my room and head to the living area where I spot my sister talking away to Tony. She was wearing of course a beautiful red dress and left her hair down and curly. She smiles when she sees me. I head over to her.

"Wow baby sister you look stunning" she says and my smiles grows.

"So do you" I say and she smiles. I hear footsteps and look to see Peter walking towards us in a fancy black and white suit with his hair nicely done.

"Damn Peter you clean up nicely" Nat says and he smiles.

"Let's get this over with" I hear Erin's voice and look past Peter to see Erin and my heart skips a beat. She was wearing a stunning white long dress with her hair down and styled and was wearing makeup even though she was so beautiful she didn't need it.

"Wow" I say under my breath looking at her and she meets my gaze. She looks me up and down and smiles at me. That look in her eye was enough to kill me.

"Holy shit E, you look like a million buck!" Nat says and Erin smiles.

"Yeah you really do look beautiful" I say and Erin blushes and looks down at her feet.

"Thanks" she says softly.

"Alright now that everyone's here we can head out" Tony says and we all head into the elevator together. I stand next to Erin close enough for our hands to just graze each other. Peter talked away to Tony and Nat while Erin and I were silent. I tried to pay attention to their conversation but I couldn't help but side-eye Erin every once in a while.

"Are you sure they are going to let a 17-year-old in?" Nat asks Tony about Peter.

"Yeah they will don't worry" Tony says just as we reach the bottom floor and head out the elevator. There was a limo outside waiting for us. The driver opens the door and we all hop in.

"So at the ball do we just act normal?" Peter asks adjusting his tie.

"Yes as best as you can, but do as much digging as you can without looking suspicious to see if there is someone who pops out to you. This might be an inside job" Tony says and we all nod our heads. I couldn't help but feel nervous. I've never done this type of thing before. I'm only just getting used to having the freedom to make my own choices and honestly it was terrifying and exciting. We soon arrive at the ball and I look outside the Limo window to see the paparazzi as well as many other people who were dressed so fancy and expensive it made me look cheap.

"Ready?" Peter asks Erin and Erin smiles as she takes Peter's hand.

"Lead the way dork" she says and I couldn't help but smile. Erin barely looked scared at all, not like me who was a shaking mess. Tony gets out of the limo first as cameras go off and Tony waves at all of them. Erin and Peter head out next before Nat and I go out together. The cameras click away and all of them shout questions at Tony but Tony doesn't answer any as we all head inside. It was much quieter inside with only the soft mumbles of people talking to each other and the slight classical music that played as people danced with their partners on the dance floor.

"I don't understand how I couldn't bring MJ to this, she is my girlfriend after all?" Peter asks.

"Because shitbrain we are on a mission" Erin says and Peter punches her in the shoulder.

"Oww!" She punches him too and just before Peter could launch at Erin I wrap my arm around Erin's waist and pull her away from Peter's grasp.

"Peter leave your sister alone. You have spidey sense and your sister doesn't. She can get hurt" I say to Peter and he rolls his eyes.

"You two stop acting like children" Tony says.

"Peter is a child" Erin says and Peter zaps his sister off. Tony wanders off followed by Peter as I realize that I still had my arm around Erin. I let go of her and clear my throat. I look around and see Nat was gone but I soon spot her talking to some guys as they practically drool looking down at her dress.

"Do you want to get some drinks?" I ask Erin and she nods her head. We both walk towards the drink table. We order drinks and I take a sip of mine looking around the room.

"So many fancy people in one room. I'm not used to this type of thing" She says chuckling softly. I look over at her and smile.

"Yeah, I'm not used to this type of thing either" I say and she looks at me and smiles.

"Do you want to dance?" I ask her and she raises her eyebrows.

"With me, I mean" I say smiling softly and sticking out my hand to her.

"Of course" we both put our drinks down before she grabs my hand and I lead her onto the dance floor.

"Full warning I don't know how to dance" she says and I laugh.

"Seriously?" I ask her and she laughs too.

"Well then let me teach you" I say putting my one hand on her hip and pulling her closer to me. I intertwine our hands together and place her other hand on my shoulder.

"Now we just move with the beat. Follow my lead" I say stepping away from her and she steps towards me.

"Good, now to the side" I say and we step to the side. Eventually, she got it and we were laughing around the dance floor. I spin her making her giggle more before pulling her back towards me and she rests her hands on my shoulders and I rest my hands on her hips. We gently sway to the beat as her face grows closer and closer to mine before our foreheads rest against each other. She closes her eyes softly humming to the music while I study her beautiful face.

"You're so beautiful" I whisper to her and she opens her beautiful eyes looking deep into mine. We slowly start to lean in but that's when everything went horribly wrong.
