I saw a kid at the park today.

They looked at me funny.

I'd never been looked at like that before.

I was only in the park in the first place to continue my studies on a Collie girl named Mary that looked at me, but her plans must've changed, because her sister Katherine--she prefers to be called Kat, though I try to stay formal--said they would meet at a bench about 5 trees away from the tree I was sitting under at 11am, but I guess her plans changed.

It's understandable, she's in theatre in Andy Junior High and they usually have meetings on Saturdays at 12pm, so maybe she was called in early.

I waited for her. The theatre meetings take 3 hours because it's a 1 hour and 40 minute musical and the majority of the group hasn't memorized their lines yet. It takes her an extra hour because she always stays behind and helps clean up before getting sidetracked in a conversation with someone else that's helping. The important members of the theatre group's names are:

*Andy, a human. (He/Him) They make fun of him by calling him the owner of the school, even though the school being named the same thing as him was nothing more than coincidence, as his mother couldn't afford to take him anywhere else.

*Maria, a poodle. Hilarious, I know. (She/Her) She's the bossy type and commonly makes people stay late to do things that didn't need to be done until 2 weeks later just because she finds satisfaction in telling people what to do.

*Andrew, some kind of bird, most likely a sparrow, though I won't assume. Out of this group, Mary talks to him the least. (He/Him) Quiet kid. I think he does sound effects.

*Jody, a sheep. (She/Them) Giggly type. Best friends with Mary. She's usually the one that gets her sidetracked.

*Mary, a dog mix between a sheepdog and a border collie. (She/Her) Not the same as Maria. The two of them look so similar, too. Their personalities are polar opposite. Mary always stays late to help out wether asked to or not, hates being the center of attention, and usually forgets something and has to go back to get it. She's the one I've been watching.

There's plenty more members, but those are the ones Mary comes in contact with a lot. The play isn't very intriguing, and I assume it's just for the theatre group's parents.

Back to the one that stared at me earlier.

Now I have to follow them.

They looked at me, so I have to follow them.

I was really nervous coming here, but Mary loves this park and it's a small town so I arrived only 2 minutes early because I didn't want to run into anyone I hadn't seen before.

This is why I genuinely avoid places with more than one or two people at a time around me.

It gets me too excited.

I think I should clear some things up.

I'm fully aware that if I were ever caught by Mary or any of her friends they would call me a stalker and a freak and a weirdo or a pedophile or something.

I'm also fully aware that what I'm doing is considered stalking, and I'm not doing this because I'm interested in her. I have a good reason.

Also, don't worry, she would call me a pedophile because I'm really tall for my age. I'm actually 2 years younger than her.

She's 12.

I'm 10.

The reason I've been taking notes on her and watching her every move for the past few weeks is because she's so normal. So unbelievably normal. There's nothing weird about her. She's just a theatre kid enjoying her life with friends and a busy schedule and good parents and a good sister and a good aunt and a good uncle and 3 good cousins. It's so normal. It's so boring.

I want that.

I think I was about done taking notes on Mary anyways, which is why I was okay with being looked at by another stranger.

I'm gonna start taking notes on them.
