I was just about to open my locker to put my history book in and get out my art things since I am working on the project with Luke and when I turn around I get punched in the stomach. Justin. I fall to the floor and him and the others laugh while I struggle to get up but can't.
"Oh my god! Dani!" Yells Luke as he runs toward me to try and help me up.but once he gets to me justin says,
"Luke, come on man don't help her she's a suicidal reject." Luke just stares at me in awe as the hot liquid runs down my cheeks.
"Seriously man if you try to hang out with her or choose her over us we will mess you up and will bully her even more." Says one of the three I don't know just as Michael walks into the hall when he sees me and Luke on the ground he stops and stares.
"Um bye Dani." Luke says with hurt in his eyes. I just nod and go to stand up but Luke whispers something really quick and low so only I can hear it .
"Stay here I'll be right back." And then begins to walk with the others laughing. So I stay where I am but stand up.
5 minuets later
"Dani I'm so sorry but I didn't want them to hurt you again." Luke says while hugging me. I reluctantly hug back and start to cry all over again. He just puts his arm on my shoulder and leads me to his car. We are finally arriving at his house.
"No ones home so we have the place to ourselves if that's ok?" Luke says while looking into my now bloodshot eyes.
"Anything is better than my house" I say while sighing. Luke nods and we walk in the house.
"Um Dan is you don't mind can you tell me what's going on." Luke asks while we sit.
"What do you mean?" I say even though I know exactly what he is saying.
"Why do you get bullied and what's going on home, please tell me I'm not a jerk and I won't tell anyone. I swear." He says the smiles a sorry smile. I sigh and decide I should just get it off my chest and maybe just maybe we will be friends and not fall into their trap of insanity. I already have and clawed my way out with no help. I hope he doesn't fall in the same whole I fell into.
"Ok. We are in year 10, I have been bullied by them since year 8. I used to date Justin in year 6 and 7 but they forced me to do drugs and horrible things like that when I refused and broke up with him everyone hated me and made fun of me called me names. I was the, the , um let's say reject. And that's when my dad started beating me because they did not want to be known as the parents of Dani Evans. Ya know? They wanted me to just die and I wanted to die to so I started cutting," I took off my braclets and showed him the scars, "so that is what's going on." I say as a few tears slip. What I didn't notice was that Luke was crying to.
" I'm so sorry. I will help you I promise we will get through this. We will become best friends and we will make it together. Ok?" He says looking into my eyes.
"Ok."
Luke is walking me home since I don't live to far away. Then we see Michael, Ashton , and Calum. I tense and Luke notices since his arm is on my shoulder and I stop. Michael turns around and Luke puts his arm down. The three start walking over and I want to turn and run but I can't I feel like I'm glued to the ground.
"Dani, are you ok I'm so sorry.?" Says Michael startling me with his kindness.
"Yeah I'm f-fine" I say and turn to walk away but mikey stops me, turns me around and hugs me. I don't hug back I just stand still not knowing what to do. Then he whispers in my ear
"I'm so sorry dan, I miss you, I miss being your best friend and hanging out everyday after school, I miss you."
It was at that time I pulled away and whispered "liar"
"No I'm not lying please believe me dan we miss you,me cal and ash miss you." He says with pleading eyes.
"If you did care or missed me you would have stopped and said this to me a long time ago!" I yelled looking at them all.
Luke pulls my arm away and snakes his arm around my waist as we begin walking to my house again.
