At the Yellow Dome Palace...
The High Priestess and the baby princess were high up in the air in a splendid magical display. Their brilliance stunned the crowd.
In that state, the High Priestess proclaimed a prophecy. She said, in 2 voices;"The Princess is dearly loved by the Author. She shall be named Anwu after the bright light of the Sun. She shall be an exceptional beauty, an invincible warrior of peace and an outstanding leader of her people. I present to you, Her Royal Highness, Princess Anwu Sarki of Odo! "
The crowd cheered! The nobles of the occasion applauded. It was a beautiful prophecy for a great princess. However, they did wonder how anyone could be a warrior of peace. War and peace were two opposites and the Old World had never known war. All the same, they applauded the sensational display as the brilliant glow-being spectacles finally dimmed and returned to the planet.
The High-Chief, His Royal Awesomeness was pleased. He majestically rose from his throne and declared,
"Pleasant words Amuma. A great performance. I hereby dub you, Godmother of Princess Anwu." The crowd cheered againThe High Chief lifted 2 fingers to silence the lively crowd after a while. He continued, "To my beloved princess Anwu, I gift the great vacation City of Ezumike including its Oases and Zinari mine."
The crowd rejoiced and the party resumed. Amuma returned the baby princess to her mother.
"Come.", the High Chief commanded the High Priestess and took her to a private room with the Queen and princess.
"Now tell me Amuma, what truly is the destiny of my daughter?", he asked when they were all alone.Amuma broke out in a cold sweat. "Y...your Highness... I...".
"Don't bother hiding it. We know you all too well.", said the Queen as she returned baby Anwu to her jewelled cot.
"Speak.", His Highness commanded.
Amuma smiled at the High Chief. "Your Highness, all I've said is true, but there's more.", she said. She turned to the cute little princess. Her entire being lit up in a gentle glow again. Her hair defied gravity. Her eyes burned bright with yellow flames. She spoke,
"Oh little one, I dare not say all I see openly, lest I endanger your life with heresy. But hear the truth. Your destiny is anything but simple. You are highly favoured of the Author. You shall have incredible power and dominion over the great darkness, and over a world of pain. And you shall unite the glow-being races."
The priestess powered down. She turned to His Highness. "A great darkness approaches, Your Highness. We must protect the kingdom and the princess.", she advised.
"When?", he asked.
"My visions are like feathers fluttering in the wind. The message is clearly visible, sometimes set in stone, but the timeline is uncertain as the wind's mind.", she answered.
"The 21 remain on guard, sworn to defend the Desert Lands from every threat, be it man or spirit, and should they by some outlandish stroke of misfortune deign to fail, my infallible highness would be 700 feet deep in the dark seas before any harm would dare befall my precious Anwu. ", His Highness replied, confident in his might and his skilled combat specialists. He turned to leave with his Queen.
Amuma watched him leave. 'A king surely takes pride in his strength, but I'm afraid this war will require far more than physical strength.', she thought to herself.
The High Priestess raised a finger towards the princess, a little gloomy. Baby Anwu caught the floating finger with her tiny hands. She cawed excitedly.
The High Priestess's heart melted." How sweet you are", she said. Then she whispered to Anwu, "You know little one, ...I've seen the darkness and frightening it truly is, but looking at you now, I know there is hope for the Old World."
"Here. This will keep you hidden from his eyes.", she said, putting a charm bracelet on the princess.
