"Katherine!?"
...
"KATHERINE!"
White ceiling, cream colored walls with fake vines hanging all over. Oh right- just my room. Heh.
"Katherine- you're going to be late to leave for college!"That's right, I'm leaving for college today.
I quickly get up and do my hair & makeup.
*what Katherine looks like and her casual makeup*
I put on skinny jeans, a cream colored crop top and a gray hat with sunglasses.
*what Katherine's outfit looked like*
I grab my bags and suitcases and load my car. My mom and I already set up my dorm with all the furniture. I just need my clothes and makeup.
"Katherine, we have to leave in 5 minutes. Make sure your brother is in the car and ready to go!"
My brother is 16 and this is a very unpopular opinion about him but he really isn't annoying. He just is to other girls with makes me think he's gay but that's fine. I have to love him no matter what.
I'm going to college to study Anatomy & Physiology. My mom always wanted me to be a Nurse so I thought I would just do it for the fun of it. I'm not sure if it's what I want to be but I'm going to give it a try.
I get in the car and talk to my brother about how much I'm going to miss him and how I better see him in college one day, studying for a professional job.
Or getting famous for something. Whichever one.
My mom gets in the passenger and I drive to the college. We all help unpack my things and settle in until it's time for them to leave.
I'm 2 states away from where my parents live and with my brother doing football and my mom being a therapist, they can't visit me. Especially with how much studying I'm going to have to be doing.
My mom starts crying and hugs me.
"Mom I'm going to be fine, I'm a mature adult now and I can do things on my own. It's time for you to let go and let me be on my own."
"I know but it's just so hard to see my baby grow up."
"Okay mom now your embarrassing me, you can just go to the car. I'll try to call you at least once a week to check up on you and tell you how I'm doing."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"Okay. I love you sweetheart."
"I love you too Mom."
My mom leaves and gets into her car. We drove separate cars when we were unloading the furniture so she doesn't waste gas and milage.
"I'm gonna miss you little guy."
I rub his head and give him a big hug.
"Hey! I'm not little anymore. I can drive now."
"Almost drive. You're still in the process of the test dumb dumb."
Calling each other's names is how we show our love.
"Yea yea yea. I'm gonna miss you loser."
"I'm gonna miss you even more."
I give him one more big hug and wave him goodbye as he walks out.
I got a dorm for just myself so I could have privacy and alone time. And possibly to sneak in some boys. If you know what I mean.
I'm just kidding! I told my mom I'm a mature woman now and I meant it.
I grab my mini bag with my emergency items and my phone and head to the book store to get the books I need for my classes.
I got a lot of cash from the ATM machine for the books. $400 per book, and there's 3.
I know, I know. That's a lot of cash but trust me I didn't steal it. I got it from a ATM machine, I swear.I get up to the cashier and she counts all the money.
"Ma'am, you're $150 short."
"Oh... well I don't have any more money I can get from the ATM machine."
"Sorry but you're gonna have to but 1 book back."
"I'll pay for it. All of it."
