Candy and I were laying in bed together, watching a movie. It was called 'Killer Queen'. The queen buried her husband of ten minutes. Her fake tears at the funeral were so convincing.

We ate popcorn as we watched the queen seething over her teenage daughter humming. She yelled at her and stormed off. Then, apple juice ad came on. Damn.

"What do you think?" I asked.

Candy turned her attention to me. "It's good. Like a horror version of Snow White."

"How do you think it'll end?"

"I don't know. Maybe the Queen will die."

 "I guess we'll see."

She leaned on me. I wrapped my arm around her. It felt so romantic.

The movie came back on. We watched the queen sneak into her daughter's bedroom, holding a dagger. She plunged it into her chest. But no blood came out. I raised an eyebrow.

How the hell was that possible?

The queen noticed this and left the room with an evil smile on her face. Candy laughed. This scene was strange. The dagger gleamed in the moonlight.

She left the knife in the wound. It still didn't bleed. That dagger must've been magical.

"This new Snow White is super human," Candy said.

I laughed too. "There's no way she could be alive if she had no blood."

 "What's she celebrating, then?"

 "I don't know."

Candy dramatically gasped when new Snow White came out of the shadows, laughing. The girl was clever. The queen will never know peace. She should feel embarrassed.

In the next scene, the queen celebrated her murder attempt with a goblet of red wine. We watched the new Snow White hide behind the queen's throne, smirking mischievously. The queen sat on her throne and fell through it, screaming in terror.

That girl was an evil genius.

My phone chimed on my nightstand. I picked it up. A message from Merlot appeared on the screen.

Meet me at the Woodsmen Shoppe tomorrow.

I put my phone down on my lap. When I turned my attention back to the tv, the queen was dead. Her pale skin turned gray. The new Snow White stood over her, smiling evilly.

For the rest of the movie, the new Snow White took the queen's place on the throne. This was my new favorite movie. Candy and I finished the popcorn before the end of the movie. It ended with the new Snow White breaking the magical mirror.

"What do you want to watch next?" I asked.

Candy smiled. "The Wrong Guest. I heard it was a good movie."

 "Let's watch that, then."

"I know you're going to love it."

As soon as the movie started, there was a family sleeping in the dining room. Their faces were covered with raspberry pie. Then, we saw a bottle of poison on the kitchen counter. Never mind.

A distorted, slow version of 'We are family' played in the house. I was already invested. Who would have be bold enough to kill a whole family in broad daylight.

For most of the movie, a white woman manipulated a family into liking her. I wasn't surprised when she started turning the parents against their own daughter. That seemed typical. Candy threw popcorn at the tv during the scene when the girl tried on the daughter's clothes.

"Boo! You could never be her!"

I laughed. The rest of the movie involved snooping and the parents being held hostage. All because they freaked out when some blonde weirdo pretended to be their daughter. She was so fucked up, this made me forget about our problems.
