I can't help but glance at my phone every once and awhile. Even though I promised myself that I would hang up when he calls, I can't help but feel annoyed that he hasn't even tried. I don't know what's wrong with me. I only met him for like a total of five minutes probably and I can't get him off my mind. Even his messy appearance starts to look attractive in my mind and I can't help but want him to call me soon.

My sister Lexi smiles as she walks into the room when she see the wrapped present in my hand. "That for me?" She asks.

"No its for some spoiled rich bitch." I say with a smile. Lexi is wearing a purple dress with her bra straps clearly showing, she has a small band around her skinny arms and she has definitely applied makeup to nearly every part of her face. From her blue eyes to her red lips and pink cheeks. Yep she hit it all. Her messy brown hair threatens to fall over her eyes and I sort of wish it would as I would find it funny. She walks towards me and I pull the present closer to me.

"If its a fucking Barbie, I swear Jules" Lexi gives me an angry look. She brightens a little and smiles. "I'm having a party tonight."

I smile at her, relishing the thought of when she opens the present in front of all of her "friends" and sees its the thing she hates. The perfect sibling gift. I silently thank Cody again for giving me the most girly one. The thought of him irritates me again and I wish again that he would call me. "Of course you are having one." I say to her. "Who all are you inviting?"

Lexi shrugs. "I don't know." She pulls out her phone. "I kind of just made a group chat and then invited everyone. If you want, you can even invite someone."

"Why are you being nice to me?" I ask her. "Usually you would rub it in my face that you are having a party and I never get one anymore." I fold my arms as I say this.

Lexi sits down next to me, her focus no longer on the present. She sighs before speaking. "I am turning seventeen, I just thought it would be a good time to finally start growing up."

I smile and now am slightly dreading giving her the present. Lexi has never had a conversation like this with me before. It feels nice to have a talk where we aren't at each-others throats. "Don't grow up too fast." I mess up her hair as I say this.

"You either!" She says while laughing. I release my grip on the present and set it down on the floor to our right.

"I met someone today." I tell her. I figure talking about Cody might simplify the whole situation and I wouldn't worry about it so much anymore.

"Oh, really?" Lexi smiles. "Where did you meet him? What's his name? Do you want to invite him to my party?" She seems more excited than I am about him.

"Slow down." I laugh. "I met him at the store when I was getting your present." I smirk at her. "In fact he helped me pick it out."

"Oh now he has to come!" She is beaming. "I have to thank him for it."

I laugh inside knowing full well that Lexi is gonna hate her present but at least Cody will take the heat for it. If he ever calls me! He must be off his shift now. I look at my outfit for the day. I seem pretty enough, I must have caught his eye. Directly giving my number to him should have made him think too. I sigh. Or maybe he thinks I am a slut if I am just willing to give my number out that fast. I bury my face into my hands.

"What's wrong?" Lexi asks.

I look back up at her. "He hasn't called me yet." It hits me then just how much I care that he hasn't. I haven't ever had any guy not call me straight away, or ask to hang out once I gave them my number. I don't want to be conceited or a whore when I believe its not hard for me to get guys but I know I am sexy and I was hoping to get that into Cody's mind. Maybe I should have tried harder. Pushing my hair behind my ear? Was that the best I had? Also I was a bit rude to him.
