Amalie Smith had a pretty normal life growing up. Two supportive parents and two older protective brothers who she looked up to but all it went down during her second year of high school.
Amalie struggled through middle school immensely. With that came bullying. The complication was very complicated.
Amalies middle school was fairly small and everyone was pretty tight knit so she felt odd cutting it off with her friends who were also her bullies. So she let it continue even though it slowly destroyed her inside.
She thought high school would finally be her escape from them, and it was, for awhile. During her sophomore year her new friend group slowly merged with her old one and after a while the bullying started again, but this time was different. The new people she found her solace in became her new bullies.
Her home was her safe place, where she wasn't bullied and put down by her friends but instead loved and treated with kindness. But slowly that fell apart. Her brother happened. He started to suffer from his own mental health and let it take over his life which started affecting everyone in the house.
So her life slowly fell apart until it consumed her.
