Prologue

Where I'm from, everyone was so scared of heartbreak and misery that they found a way for no one to feel that way again. How is that possible? On our sixteenth birthday everyone receives a bracelet. The bracelet is meant to help us find our true love. When we get close to that person it tightens around our wrist, and if we get close enough, it will work as a magnet and stick to the other bracelet. The problem with that is some people never find their true love. You have to meet that person for your bracelet to work. What if I don't like my true love? What if he doesn't like me?
