𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐀𝐃 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊. Ever since she was little she seemed to be drawn to death, not necessarily drawn as in a creepy 'I am obsessed with death' way. No, Evee wanted nothing more than to leave death alone, yet it seemed to follow her endlessly. From finding her 'lost' pet hamster buried in her mother's garden in a tiny golden box, to finding the body of a local missing boy named Christopher. Evee didn't quite know what was wrong with her. She hadn't even been looking for those bodies, not to mention the many dead animals she would stumble across on a regular basis, and the often occurrences of waking up in the middle of the night in cemeteries. She just seemed to be almost. . . Drawn to them. For as long as she could remember she was drawn to death, and no mater how much she tried to chase it away it would always bring her back.

Her mother thought her to be strange, her father didn't know what to think. They loved her of course . . But she was odd, they didn't understand her or her 'acting' out, and because of it they tried to hide the girl more than anything. 'Just try and lay low, no Evee business' they would tell her. Logan on the other hand was perfect, the golden child, he never seemed to mess up. Even though he was perfect in every way that seemed humanly possible to Evee she still never hated him. Envied him yes, but if anything she adored her brother. They were close, bestest of friends. He and her cousin Jonah seemed to be the only ones that believed the girl, the only ones who truly tried to understand what was happening to her. 'You must be psychic' they would tell her. The boys thought it was the coolest thing growing up, and always encouraged the girl to be herself, unlike her parents who tried to get her to hide in the shadows.

Around twelve years old is when it really started to get out of hand. Evangeline Wallows began hearing voices. Strange whispering, beckoning her to follow. Evee had convinced herself she was going crazy, that was the only rational explanation she could tell herself. What else could be happening to her? She tried her hardest to shut them out, to try and stop 'Evee-ing things up.' She dared not to tell a soul. In school she kept her head down, didn't talk unless spoken too. So friends were something she didn't really have. At home she stopped talking about her strange occurrences, and she even started wearing shoes to bed in case she was to awake in the middle of a graveyard again. Evee began hiding her thoughts, not wanting to bother others with her strange 'abilities' any longer. She just wanted to be normal, but normal wasn't something she was.
