Rachel had been working late again. She wanted to make the best grades possible. then her phone went off. She went to grab her phone but then heard a loud bang from the hall. they looked around the room and then slowly got up and walked to the hallway. something ran past. "hello?!" Rachel said in a scared voice.
Something appeared in front them. A small rat.. "hello little thing" Rachel said. "Did you make that loud bang?".. "yes" a deep voice said. Rachel looked startled. "sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. My name is Pablo and yes rats can talk... but only in some occasions." Pablo said looking at her in a weird way. (only my soulmate would be able to hear me...) he thought to himself. Rachel smiles "my name is Rachel" she said. "may I have your number you seem cool.." Pablo said "wait rats have phones?!" Rachel looked at him shocked "yeah we do" he takes out a small phone "thats cool let me go grab my phone" they ran to grab their phone and saw 54 missed calls from her best friend and room mate Jasper. oh shit she thought to herself I can just answer later. She brought her phone and called out her number to him so he could program her number in his phone. "i should get going now text you later" Pablo said.
Pablo walked away and Rachel went to grab her bags. She called Jasper back. They answered not even after the first ring "ARE YOU OKAY YOU DIDNT ANSWER I WAS WORRIED" Jasper yelled with a shaky voice. "sorry my phone was on mute so I could study" Rachel said "well I was worried.. are you on the way home?" they said "yes Jasper I am on my way" Rachel said "are you almost here?"Jasper said. "yes jasper" they said "good" Rachel hung up the phone and continued walking.
Time skip to when she arrives home
Rachel opened the door to see her angry roommate. "you stupid slug child I am going to kill you." they said. "ugh sorry mom/dad" she said. Her room mate just threw a shoe at her and walked away. Rachel went to their room. All she could think of is Pablo.. he was so kind.. and cute.. WAIT WHAT she thought to herself. NONO I can't like a RAT..!! they jumped on her bed and hugged her cat bean. then she received a text.

she smiled when she saw the notification.

they talked for a few hours after that. They decided to I to sleep since Rachel had school the next day.
