Chapter three:

Maya's pov

Hughes and Montgomery where just on their way to take the little boy we just helped to get free from the bars of the climbing frames, into the Aid Car but there is something different that I see, what makes me curious, a little girl walking over to me. She looks a bit shy but also like she wants to say something. I crouch down a little in front of her, smiling and taking my hat down.

"Hey you? Is everything alright?" I say in a higher voice "Momma..." She looks up at me from where she is standing across from me.

"What is with her? Where is your Mommy?"

"Mamma needs help..."

"Your Mom needs help? Can you lead me to her?"

The little girl nods and grabs my hand. "What is your name?" I ask a bit curious as we walk into the direction of the playground. I signal the rest of the team that I am going to go with her and to tell them over the radio if I need them.

"Lucina" The little girl says, clutching to my thumb with her tiny fingers.

"My name's Maya"

"sats a beautiful name" she smiles a little bit. She is truly adorable.

"Thank you, I like yours too" I say softly.

We turn around a corner and see the playground and a skinny brunette walking
around frankly, screaming a few names. "Elly. Elly Belly, Luc... Lucina, where are you!?"

"Is that your Mom Lucina?" I ask curious.

"Yef..." She runs over to her and I follow her slowly. "Lucina! Bambina, where were you!? I told you not to run away baby!" The brunette says as she scoops her daughter up into a hug. pure relief on her gorgeous, tear stained face. Her face gets puzzled as she notices me, standing in front of her.

No one's pov

"Uh hello.... who are you?" Carina asks. Maya wanted to start explaining but gets interrupted by Lucina.

"She is a firefighter, she helps people, mommy... you are always so sad.... she can help you! She can help everyone, Maya is a hero!" the little brunette says kind of exited but also sorry for her mom and for running away.

"Oh Bambina..." she says to Luc. I am so sorry for bothering you I think she noticed that I was a little depressed lately... but I will talk to her about it...that is not your job..... I am sorry" Carina chuckles nervously, being amazed by Maya's ocean blue eyes.

"that's really no problem!" Maya says, trying to act professional but it's hard around the older brunette, she is also amazed by Carina's honey brown eyes. They both stare until Maya looks away, blushing Carina tries to hide her smile and the blush that's creeping up on her cheeks but it's not working very well and does not get unnoticed by the toddler in her arms. Lucina pakes her in the cheek and asks "why are wou blufping mamma?"(why are you blushing) Carina laughs nervously You're just" She fake coughs to cover up her little slip up. "It's just very hot Bambina. Maya almost starts to laugh as she hears what Carina says. "Carina, by the way" the brunette introduces herself, changing the topic and stretching her hand out to the blonde who gladly shakes it, lingering for a few seconds. "Maya" They both can feel the electric sparks running through their veins as their hands touch and the sweet, loving feeling that warms their belly's. Their trance gets interrupted by a kind of annoyed Elly. "Mooooom? Can we get Ife cweam? (ice cream)" "Yes...sure bambina" Carina says, being ripped out of her trance. "Can Maya come with us?" the cute toddler in her arms asks. "Oh Bella... I think Maya has to work, right?" she looks at Maya. "Yeah... that's right sweetie... I have to save some more lives" the blonde smiles. "Like my Mommy!" Lucina interrupts her proudly. "Really? What does she do? Is she secretly supergirl?" Maya whisper shouts the last part to the little girl, acting serious. "No silly! She is a doctor, she helps Mommas get their babies". The little brunette giggles. "Ohhhh.okay! That explains a lot” Maya goes ahead with her cute little act. Lucina smiles and nods. "But if you..." Maya pokes the little girl in the stomach "and your Mommy wants to come over to my Station later and get a tour and sit in the firetruck than you can do that, okay? Becauuuuse, I can do that, I am the captain and can make the rules, you know?" Maya says a little quieter. "You can't tell anyone okay? That's our little secret" Maya giggles. "Sure! Yayyyyy, Mamma, did you hear this? Can we go later? Please Momma!" The little brunette begs. "If it is really okay with Maya then sure" Carina smiles slightly, happy to see the blonde again so soon, the little girl cheering. "Awesome" Maya grins. "Station 19, just down the road from Grey-Sloan" the blonde says to Carina. "But nooow... I have to go and save some lives, okay? I will see you later!" Maya says to Lucina. "If we're on a call, just tell Travis at the front desk that you are here for captain Bishop and you can wait in my office" Maya smiles at Carina. "Okay...bye" Carina grins, watching Maya walk away.

"Mamma, why are you blushping again?" The tiny brunette giggles, clutching her little, old hedgehog stuffie in her hands, "You are just too smart for my liking..." She pokes her daughters little nose. "Let's get some ice cream!" Carina changes the topic, grinning like an idiot.

A/n
I am uploading the first chapter of a new story later today, it's called "her diary" and I have lots and lots of Ideas and a good twist at the end;) i hope you liked this chapter and have fun reading the new story
