On The Run

Chapter 1

It was a quiet night, everything was peaceful. Until a group of 3 armoured trucks travelled towards a small house on the edge of the town, which housed a small family who looked like your average neighbours, but were far from it. Behind the mask of close blinds and doors the parents hid their daughter behind. They were normal parents trying to look after a not so normal child. The trucks slowly approach the house, they stop outside 12 men get out and walk up to the house. They surround the house and knock down the door, 3 men walk inside guns raised as they search the house and found the parents huddled in the bathroom.

??? POV

It was a quiet night and My family and I were sitting watching the TV when my father got a phone call from his friend that lives near the entrance of the town he walked out of the room. He raced back into the room and said they're coming grab your bag and go out the back door and wait for me. I grabbed my bag a went out the back door my parents soon joined me and we walk through the forest for what felt like hours then we stopped. My father crouched down to me and said your need to keep going Olivia, run as far as you can and whatever you hear don't turn back. I nod they give me a hug and I keep going I run through the forest until hear 2 gunshots I stop. Then I hear footsteps coming towards me I run as fast as my little legs can carry me. The footsteps get closer as I keep running until someone shines a light on me a says found her. I turn a run so fast but it wasn't fast enough soon I'm surrounded by these men. One grabs me as I struggle to try and get out of his grip I feel I pinched in my neck and everything goes dark.

No ones POV

They drive for hours until they reach a large concrete building in the middle of nowhere, Olivia slowly started wake up. The men get out of the truck and one roughly picks up Olivia and carries her inside. Walk down a short hallway and down and few flights of stairs until they reach a door. They walk through the door and towards some cells where a man is waiting, he sees them and says you got her I wasn't expecting her so soon. I don't want her on her own so put her in with one of the twins" and walks away. The man opens Diana's cell and drops her on the floor, closes it walks away.

Olivia's POV

See the man open a dimly lit cell and I feel my body hit the ground, i groan as I hear him walk away I try and push myself up a couple of times but my arms are still too weak. I hear moving at the back of the cell then a young woman emerges from the shadows. I try to move away as she come closer she bends down and picks me up, I struggle against her until she say "hey it ok I'm not going hurt you" I stop struggling and she walks back to the back of the cell where there is a small strip of metal bar to the next cell. She sits down with crossed legs and puts me on her lap then says my name is Diana what you name sweetie as she strokes my head as I start to lean against her and say my name is Olivia. Suddenly a hand goes through the bars and I jump away and stare at in fear, Diana sees the hand and hits it as I hear a male voice say what was that for. Diana then says you scared her, how many time have I told you don't just stick you hand through the bars" she then motions for me to come over. I slow move back over to her as she opens her arms I sit back on her lap, she says "It's ok, that is my brother Eli he didn't mean to scare you" then I hear Eli say "I'm sorry little one". After a while my eyes become heavy and I lean against Diana's chest slowly drifting off as she runs her fingers through my hair.

Diana's POV
I was sitting at the back of my cell talking to Eli when we heard footsteps coming towards us. We stopped talking seeing one of the guards carrying a small brown haired girl over his shoulder. I hear Ross talking to him in a hushed tone, I strain my ear to hear what they are saying until I hear him say to put her in with one of us. I silently pray that it's me because Eli can be a little mean sometimes. I watch as my cell door opens and she dropped on the ground, I hear her groan and try and sit up. I continue to watch her for a few more seconds before getting up and walking towards her. She sees me and try's to move away but I continue towards her and pick her up, she struggles at first and I say " hey, it's ok I'm not going to hurt you" she quickly settled as we walk back to where I was sitting. I place her on my lap and tell her my name whilst I stroke her hair and ask her hers, she says her name is Olivia. she looks towards the bars at the bottom of the cell then jumps back, I look down and see Eli's hand I hit it and hear him say what was that for. I say ''you scared her, how many time have I told you don't just stick you hand through the bars" as I motion for her to come back over, she slowly come towards me. I open my arms as she sit back on my lap, I say ''It's ok, that is my brother Eli he didn't mean to scare you'' Then I hear Eli say "I'm sorry little one". After a while she starts to close her eyes fighting to stay awake as I run my finger through her hair. I sit there for a bit longer then decide that I'm tired and that I'm going to bed I say goodnight to Eli. I gently pick up Olivia and walk over to the tiny bed in the corner, I lift the thin blanket and get in pull the little girl against me to share my warmth as she wraps her arms around me and put her head on my chest.
