Hinahayaan ko lang siya habang naglalakad kami at hawak hawak niya ang kamay ko. Hindi rin ako makapagreklamo dahil hindi ko alam ang sasabihin ko.

Binitawan niya na ang kamay ko at hinarap ako.

"Do you... have to say uh something?" I hesitantly asked
He shook his head
"I just saved your ass there. It seems like you're not comfortable" he said
He let out a loud sigh kaya napakunot ang noo kong tinignan siya
"Seriously, how many times do I need to see you kissing him? Or him kissing you?!" I was a bit shocked at his question
"Sorry... I.. uhm.. I didn't" hindi ko matuloy ang sinasabi
"Nevermind. Huwag mo na sagutin" sabi niya
I slowly nodded
Silence embrace us so I think I need to open up a topic because I can feel the akwardness between us.
"How's your child?" I asked without looking at him
"Sorry, my what?" He said
"Child" I repeated
He laughed but there's no humor in it
"Child? I don't have one. Hindi pa nga 'ko kasal" sabi niya
My eyebrows furrowed. Is he denying his own child? There's no need for it. Nasa tamang edad naman na siya.
Or maybe...
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed
"What?" He asked
"Your girlfriend's child, is not... yours?" I asked hesitantly
He crossed his arms and angled his head while looking at me. His stares looks like he's so confused.
"Seriously Jacey, what the hell are you saying?" He said
"Don't worry I'm not judging you... there's nothing wrong with that" I said
"Huh?!" He said in disbelief

"I mean, I really thought it's your child but there's nothing wrong if you're taking the responsibility even if it's not yours" I said habang nakatingin sa kaniya
Ang nagtatanong niyang mukha ay agad namang umaliwalas at maya maya ay may sumilay na ngiti mula rito at bigla siyang humagalpak ng tawa
"What the?? Why are you laughing?!" Iritang sabi ko pero tuloy pa rin siya sa pagtawa, may paghawak pa sa tiyan
"ZJ ano bang nakakatawa?!" Tanong ko
Ang tagal bago siya huminahon at umayos ng postura at sineryoso ang mukha.
"So, you're saying that the child you saw last time with me at the mall.... you thought that was mine?" Naninigurado niyang tanong, tumango naman ako
Kaso pagtango ko ay natawa ulit siya
"ZJ naiirita na 'ko sa'yo punyeta" sabi ko sa kaniya
Tumikhim naman siya at umayos ulit.
"Hindi mo ba namumukhaan 'yong bata?" Tanong niya
Napa isip naman ako. Hindi ko maalala.
"No. I think that was the first time na nakita ko 'yong bata" I said
