The sound of a crackling fire is all that accompanied Mully's voice as he concluded the story. "The wife slowly opened the door. Walked inside cautiously, calling for her husband, when the door slammed shut." Mully paused, building the atmosphere for the opportunity to scare the crap out of the three who were drawn into the tale.

On his left was Juicy, despite the cool expression, his hands gave away to his fear; the dirt was disturbed where they were. On his right was Narrator- who he introduced himself as when they first met- was sitting, figuratively, on the edge of his seat. In front of him was Eddie, who was quivering in fear.

'Superhuman, indead' he thought to himself. His eyes drifted to the shadows. The shadows of the fire were still. He morphed his mischievous face into one of sullen, to end the grizzly tale.

"She tried the lights, but the power was out. The air shifted. Goosebumps appeared and hair on the back of her neck was standing on end. She heard no footsteps when suddenly a hand..." from this point, the shadows behind them shifted, rising from the ground morphing into people, arms stretched out to touch something. They were waiting for their cue. "...touched her shoulder!" All three hands were placed on their shoulders. Screams overtook the crackling fire and Mully's cackling laugh.

"You should've seen your faces, boys!" Mully gasped out between laughter. The shadow men disappeared except for the one behind Eddie. He gave the shadow a thumbs up. "Good one, Josh." The figure of a male appeared, the dark sinking back to the Earth to become Eddie's shadow.

"Idiota, podría haberte arrancado el brazo!" Eddie screamed at Josh. (Idiot, I could have ripped your arm off.)

Josh gave him a shrug and a smirk. He walked over to sit beside Mully. He linked their hands together and Mully felt that familiar nudge to the back of his mind.

<<I do good?>> He could hear Josh talk, but the other man's lips didn't move.

"You did perfect." Mully assured, smiling at the blue irises flare.

"If you guys are done," Narrators voice broke their eye contact. "I would like to sleep. We have more traveling to do."

"I want to hear another story." Juicy pleaded, turning to the couple. "Mully, can you tell us how you two met?"

Mully felt Josh stiffen, his hand nearly crushing his.

"I don't thinks thats such a-" Eddie, observant as always, noticed the change in Josh instantly. Narrator was already in his bed, back facing the fire, but Mully could tell he was listening. Juicy continued.

"You guys knew each other before you started dating. Maybe Josh told you how he doesn't-" Josh stood up so fast the shadows almost consumed the fire. He just stared at the fire. Eyes distand, shinging with memories. He poked Mully twice and walked into the dark, the element seemed to swallow him.

"I think we should just go to bed." Mully gave Juicy a pointed stare, silencing the younger from speaking more.

It's two in the morning, everyone was asleep except Mully, waiting for Josh to return. He was about to doze off when he heard, <<I'm back.>> Josh emerged out of the dark. Mully invited him under the covers. Josh ablidged and faced Mully.

He couldn't get rid of the feeling when he saw Josh's eyes up close. Where the whites were supposed to be were pitch black with blue irises that flared out like the northern lights due to emotions. They were still now.
(Below is how I see Josh eye.)

"This about what Juicy said?" The avoidance of eyes spoke more than words

"This about what Juicy said?" The avoidance of eyes spoke more than words. He didn't need a voice to know his partner. "You're gonna let Juciy, the guy who can transform into animals, which don't talk, get to you? Or do you want Narrator to help you figure out a voice?" Josh just shrugged.

Mully let out a sigh, bringing his partner close. "I don't need a voice telling me your thoughts. I see it in your body language. You tap your chin when your thinking, clench the bottom of your shirt when nervous, and your eyes flare in excitement when seeing something cool. Tears when sad, clenched fists for anger and a smile that I adore when you see something pretty. You always show your emotions to me everyday. I don't need you to speak to know you love me. Pokes and nudges are one way. A way for your to understand is this." Mully pulled out a plain silver band, it was cheap looking but it was enough for Mully to gaze into his own light show.

Mully slipped on the ring and Josh hugged him and gave him a kiss. When he pulled away, Josh had a smile and tears.

Happy tears.

Later into the morning it was quiet, the fire went out long ago but Josh can see well in the dark and staring at the ring.

He was happy. For the first time he was happy. He wasn't haunted by his past but focusing more on the future.

A pain on the inside of his right wrist forced him to remember. On the wrist was the number 19.

It was 20 just a second ago.

Of course he was brought back to reality. He remembered that he will have no future. Not with Juicy, Eddie, Narrator... not even with Mully, who saved him from himself.

19 days left.

19 days left til he destroyed mankind.

He wept.

These were not happy tears.
