The room was quiet. I was just hugging a pillow, waiting for Blaze to come out of the bathroom.
I need to clear things out.
I looked at my phone’s clock display, Blaze’s there for almost an hour and he’s still not coming out. I suddenly felt the urge to knock on the bathroom but I couldn’t forget what happened earlier.
I almost fell down from the bed when someone knocked on the door, I stood up to open it. I saw a staff member with a push cart.
“Good evening po, Ma’am. Heto na po yung foods na in-order ni Sir.” She showed me trays so I carried it inside.
The staff came out immediately and I was left here alone again, staring at the dark.
“Cosa devo fare?” [Trans: What should I do?] I asked myself while fidgeting my fingers.
I’ve decided to stand up and went in front of the bathroom, I was about to knock when it opened. I picked it up but our foreheads bumped to each other dahil yumuko rin pala siya para lumimot noon.
“I am sorry,” nanginginig na sabi niya at hinila ako patayo. I felt his cold and a little bit sweaty hands. When I looked at him, he’s not looking at me and he’s also blushing so I looked away too. “A-Ano ba kasing ginagawa mo roon?” mahinang tanong niya. I heaved a sigh,
“What took you so long inside?” I asked, hindi naman siya nakasagot. But I know the answer. He locked himself there to avoid me. “Let’s eat,” I said and walked first towards the kitchen but I was surprised when he gently pulled my wrist and made me face him.
I flinched a bit, but I still managed to look at him. He held my chin and checked on my forehead.
“Where did I hit you? I am sorry,” he whispered. “Masakit ba? I am really sorry,” I closed my eyes when he started rubbing my forehead, yung part na nauntog sa kanya kanina.
“Bakit ba kanina ka pa sorry nang sorry?” I asked. Hindi ko na mapigilan, eh. Kanina ko pa napapansin.
“Because I did some things that you didn’t like in the first place.” He answered while still massaging my forehead.
“Do you feel sorry for kissing me, too?” I asked, natigilan naman siya.
He heaved a sigh as he let go of my chin and finally looked me in the eye.
“Hindi ako nagsisising nilahad ko ang damdamin ko.” he said, “But I am sorry for confessing in the most unexpected time and way. Alam kong nabigla ka, ako rin. I was carried away. And if you want me to say sorry for kissing you, I will say sorry. Because I am only apologizing because I shocked you.” His eyes… were serious and convincing.
“That was… that was my first kiss,” I whispered. Lalo naman siyang na-guilty. I could see him biting his lower lip, he also averted his gaze. “But... Why me?” I asked,
