01|| prologue

(a/n)omg why hot it's happening. omg. ayways i dont like this at all. anyways anyways theres too many time skips.

     Every morning, you would get up and listen to Beidou's music while you got ready to do commissions. Her music motivated you to do everything; she was your favorite. Today, you were tasked with taking care of baby hilichurls while their families were out helping you humans. The world has grown to be much more modern, and now hilichurls were domesticted and could be taken care of without the caution of being attacked. Though, unfortunately, it was against the law in each of the seven regions to take one as a pet.

     The babychurls started dancing, but there wasn't any music in the background for them to dance to. So, you took the opportunity to play it for them. As soon as the beat started, they started dancing in sync with it and mumbling lots of "Da, Dada!"s as they danced around. It was surely amusing to see them dance in sync with a beat such as the ones that Beidou uses, but they sure were good at it. Maybe one day, people will be allowed to hire them for jobs. Like backup dancers.

     Sadly, they stopped as their mother mitachurl came back and scooped them up into her arms. You stopped the music and stood up, patting the mitachurl's shoulder and saying your goodbyes to her and her children in Hilichurlian. As you left the vicinity, you pulled up your checklist and scratched off the last commission of the day.

     While you spoke to the Katheryne of Liyue, you noticed your dearest friend, Xiangling, was jumping up and down with two papers in her hand. The strange part, though, was that she was speaking to the Tianquan, who was holding a mora bag that perfectly matched Xiangling's color scheme. Once you claimed your rewards for today, you went over to her  to ask what it was about.
"y/n!! y/n!!! I just bought the most amazing thing in the entirety of Teyvat!!!" She cheered, waving the papers vigorously in your face. 

"W- What is that, a letter? A bill?" You asked, holding her hand so you could actually see.

     Once the girl finally stopped moving, your eyes glided along the words on the papers, until they widened at the name of your current favorite being written on them. You immediately snatched the papers from Xiangling's hands, and read the paper to yourself.

     Your best friend just blew (what you assumed was) her entire life savings on two tickets to THE Beidou's next concert. The entirety of your body started overflowing with excited energy, and you wanted to start jumping and screaming just like she was. You checked the seating on said tickets, and noticed that you two would be up front too! It was insane how Xiangling went out of her way to pay for that.
"There- there's no way... you didn't..." You said, your jaw reaching the floor as you laughed out of shock.

"I did!!! And we can go!!!" She squealed.

time skip to the concert~

     Weaving through the long line at the booth, you finally reached the front where the Security Men were. The man held his hand out, obviously gesturing for the tickets to which you complied. He leaned into the booth, doing what you assumed was stamping the tickets before handing them back to you along with bracelets corresponding to the color of your seating. Xiangling held Guoba close to her, a string around their stomach to make them look like a purse. Behind his back was all the hidden snacks she brought so they didn't get yelled at.

Once you found the correct seating, you got comfortable and let Guoba sit on you while you waited for the concert to start. Yours and Xiangling's voices blended in with everyone else's as you conversed, when the sound of tapping against a microphone was heard. Someone behind the stage cleared their throat, before beginning to speak.

"Hello everyone, and welcome to the Lesser Lord's Stage for the Arts. On this very special night, we'd like to introduce to you, everyone's favorite, Beidou." The person concluded as the lights dimmed, and others turned red.
