Never A Perfect Story

PART 1

"I promise I will fix this mess , son" 

That was the last word he heard from his dad before his dad rushed driving off somewhere.

Wish . If every single human being on earth is given one wish each to be accepted and turns true in the reality  , what would your wish be ? Love , wealth , happiness or fame ? For sure , the elder will ask to live longer , while young people will ask to live happier with their loved ones.

However , that's not what James , a young orphan boy would thinks , he would ask to be reborn as a new person , living a perfect life like everyone else deserve . 

Losing his precious mom on his 10th birthday has changed his life . His dream to study hard and work for a better living and to live happier with his mom is now gone . His mother, her only queen and will never can be replaced by anyone , she meant the world to him , he knew how hard it was to be a single mom alone after his dad chose to left them , raising him with all blood , sweat and tears by herself , but she choose to do it , fulfilling her responsibility as a mother to her only child , James. 

That was a beautiful and meaningful sacrifice a mother can do . 

Until the day her mother left this cruel world because of cancer spreading to the bone , which is the most painful type of cancer because the tumor pressed on the nerves located around the area of bone . Once the size of the tumor increases , it can release more chemicals that can affect the tumor. And on that worst day ever , his dad suddenly appeared saying sorry for leaving and asking for a second chance . What a world . 

"Is that the boy?" 

"Who's gonna take care of him now ?" 

"He will be 18 soon , let him be" , they laughed .

James leaned his body forward , placed his head in his full of scar hands and sobbed. He heard each of the conversations as clear as crystal . His face sullen and turns to dark while looking at the black coffin . His father died last night after taking his own life , that's what the media said. Not what he simply wants to believe .

"After killing his own co-partner of their business , the man commit suicide by jumping off from the hillside , taking his own life after taking someone else's life ", that was what the media shared and what the television clarified . 

How funny things can change so fast. His dad was once respected by the whole country because of his contribution to the society and country as a famous scientist and generous entrepreneur.

How a twist of story by the media changed all the good views towards him . 

He is now hated and called a betrayer .

He denied all the statements , he knew deep down his father would never do that , willingly jump off from the hillside will never be his father's choice to end his life in that miserable way .  But , he knew he cannot simply mess around telling everyone that everything is so weird ; how everyone was faking their own tears at the funeral , laughing while talking to each other. None of them actually care . None .

" I will take care of him " , a black-suit man suddenly raised his hand with a smile.

He walked to James , wiping off James' tears while whispering ,"Don't waste your tears , young boy , no one is actually listening , neither are watching . Chin up , let's look back at this case and find out what's weird about this perfect story of media created "

"I believe there is no perfect story that exists " ,  the man hugged James tightly.

"Who are you ?" , James looked at that man with lots of things going around his head.

He reached out a photo from his pocket , handing it over to James who seemed clueless since yesterday . 

"Wait , what ? Why do you have this picture ? This shouldn't be sha...." 

"Why do you think I have it ?" , "You know better than me , young boy" 

James shut his mouth , choosing not to speak or replying to that man , he rather not to talk about it . He felt betrayed and lied to by his own father . 

"Your father did it for a reason , James . If you wanna know the truth , you must accept the truth after finding it out too", " It is not easy to force yourself to believe it , but in time , you will heal , you will know why it happen " , explained the man with a smile .

"Why do you think so ? I knew him way better than you , mister . I knew he would never kill his own co-partner . Never . And, If you don't know the truth then don't say it ",  James exploded , he lost his temper .

" I don't ask you to believe me , you can choose not to " , the man finished his sentence while walking toward his car.
