Embering the crust. Throat parching heatwaves, raise varied-sized stones on an axis. Spiraling, climbing, they merge with burning embering fauna. At first low orange-yellow. It climbs, pulsating, intensifying into the surrounding air. Ana's wulf cannot breathe. Nanoseconds before I eviscerate the ground into molten lava. The cadaver appears and lunges bodily, slamming her mother from death. But not her. Teresa disappears into a portal appearing under her. Reappearing some yards away from us. A charred, crackling skeletal heap.
From behind me, "Forgive me, my young Alpha.". With a shift of my gaze, swirling Forest green emerald eyes meet the portal's summoner, Estrella. In a private wulf Speak. Estrella shows her approval, "Keep going Reuben, we need to lure out her summoner One–Eye. He will want to see proof for himself. THAT will be our opportunity. We cannot kill her just. Yet." By my steeled gaze reveals, I need no encouragement. Nor is my intent; getting information. "This. Ends Estrella." I want to kill. Simple.
Standing over Sable's 'body' keeping Alejandro between my forelegs. "I WILL ALLOW NO-ONE near him." Heating air dries moisture throats, save mine. Becoming parched, drying lips are licked by equally dried tongues.
My head lowering, lips curling upwards, "WHEN ANA?" stone hardness in my baritone tone Wulf speak shows I am rapidly losing patience. "I will not ask AGAIN.." Leering deathly at her. Beta Cocoa approaches my side, taking over the conversation. "If I don't interrupt, she is going to suspect something is wrong." Wulf Speaking ta Cocoa, "Psycho, dam Alpha. gonna blow our chance, dumb fuck." But something in my soul companion has changed. He, was too, is no longer following this farce. Cocoa's wulf spoken voice was deathly cold, calm, sending off a numbing morbid resonance throughout my body.
"Randall. Look at our brother." Death lacing Cocoa's words. Not good. Then, I look at the stilled form between Alpha's legs, feigning listless, feigning, death. That is my brother lying there faking poisoned."The day my brother we were separated by Oya Randall. I was too young to do anything. I will never lose them again."
The profound silent rage enters, filling my astral form. My eyes at this sight. "This was not a good plan," Coco adds to my anger. Searing into me. Rooting. Presuming my Full Guardian appearance is da icing needed. Slow, deliberately does my head alter from prime alpha's form, A Beta's fierce temper turns on Ana.
"Answer him... Your forfeited life hinges on it." My body trembles manically, sheltering contained, building fury. "That is my BABY BROTHER." My head returns to Sables' form. "Dis bitch about ta die." For a moment, Alpha looks at me.
Beta's Wulf speak briefly draws my gaze. His mounting fury was escaping his form. His beta sigils illuminate and ignite. Stemming from his face, downsides of his neck. Gaining speed from his building anger. Expanding like tree branches, they race backward, along the sides of Cocoa's rib cage, they ignite a trail, down his legs to his paws.
Finally, uniting at his tail base, extending upwards. Small mini black hurricane discs boom their emergence. Forming around the base of Beta's neck, encircling four hocks of his paws and center of his tail. Crimson confirms my suspicion, "Yes, Reuben. As Remus & and Romulus were. Born by one. Raised by another. So too, were they." "Cocoa is about to make sure. If she does not answer quickly, ... She doesn't at all." Cocoa's stiffened joints, bristled hair, and the straight tail has their effect on Ana.
Ana screams at his sight and power babbling. "Twenty years ago. The night Selene left with you to America. She never revealed to you her heinous act. Selene had poisoned Teresa and left her, here, in this field, to die." Fury takes Ana, screaming. "BECAUSE OF HER OBSESSION WITH YOU!!! SELENE POISONED HER OWN SISTER!!"
I stood stunned. Head shifting towards my Alpha and my Beta/son. Neither caring what they heard. Especially Crimson. Unlike myself, my young Alpha exudes no remorse towards the distraught mother. His deepening growl and Wulf Speak confirmation, "Continue."
"With your last visit here, promising to take one with you, they constantly fought over whom would be your mate & Luna of your pack. The night before you left, they came to this very field to settle their differences. I allowed this, happy to have this end."
"I can never forget that day." My eyes close, then reopen, on to Alpha. "what I did not know was hours beforehand. Selene had poured a slow-acting poison into Teresa's coffee. Then left her a note from "you" saying to meet in the old lovers' spot. She was so determined to change her role from Omega. Selene's last words to her sister were, "I warn you only once, Teresa, I will be the ONLY Luna to Ruben Acosta no matter what it takes!"
But Teresa, believing status would affect their outcome, did not back down to her Omega sister. Who continuously lured Teresa's previous lovers away by sleeping with them or telling them she was infertile and could not produce cubs." Listening, she continues, "When Selene saw Teresa not backing down. She took action that morning. Performing the most heinous act."
Ana's wulf spoken tone takes on sinister hate towards my young Alpha. "All for a MALE." Privately, I receive a Wulf Spoken baritone voice. "when she is done, I am going to kill her. She is unbalanced." Crimson eyes remained steeled on the mentally imbalanced mother. However, mine does. With my response, turning my head. "Yes, Alpha."
Estrella speaks with affirmation, "My young Alpha's love for Alejandro is an obsession." Unblinking, stone, and steeled is his leer towards Ana. Ears recede from sight, pressing to his aligning head. Leveling with his shoulder blades. Tensing muscles strain to spring. Alpha's intent is clear. "A Death sentence to those who harm Alejandro or Sable."
Alongside him, Beta and I watch. Listening to Ana reliving her pain. Interrupting her, "What poison did she use ANA?" it is evident, my young alpha's patience is thinning.
"A plant call Crab's Eye (Ojo de Juelle) she poured it into Teresa's coffee that morning. The same one Teresa likely used on Prime Alpha." I see the Alpha's Beta's eyes locked onto me. "I will embrace death today. I know that." Lowering my gaze, looking at the still Prime Alpha's body between the forelegs of the celestial guardian Alpha. Then lifting them, my eyes return. The Alpha looks towards his dead mate.
Internally, maliciously, I grin. "But knowing. I have taken something important from you, Reuben, JUST LIKE YOU took my daughters FROM ME!! I will go in peace." Alpha returns my attention to him. "How did you bring her back?" I can sense loathing darkness within Alpha's wulf spoken tone. I don't care.
However, Before I perish, I will further enjoy tormenting him. Continuing. "Agonizing over Teresa's death, a necromancer calling himself one eye appeared. Looking up, I saw he was about to chant, and I was about to phase and attack him knowing their history when he spoke."
"Ana, I can bring her back to life. However, there will come a time I will need her. For now, you will have your daughter. Decide before her spirit is too far gone, and I cannot cease your pain." His last words convinced me.
"No one would know she died. Teresa's body will remain in a state of limbo. Until I require her."
