CONTROL FREAK
While everyone loathes school, Taehyung actually liked it, because of one reason. It's the only place he can be with his friends, without having to face any problems with Minhyun or explain himself to him later on.
"Hey Tae, you good?" Taehyung shook out of his thoughts hearing his best friend, Park Jimin, call for him. "Yeah, everything's alright," he lied, making Jimin scoff.
"You're one of the best liars I know, Taehyung, but not with me," he leaned a little closer to his seat mate, "did something happen with Minhyun?"
The question let Taehyung think a little, but he just sighed, nodding softly. He is so happy that Minhyun is a year older and a class over him, giving him the chance to be at least a little free.
"I don't love him anymore." It's out, straight up out, listened to by his one and only best friend.Taehyung had no expectations for a reaction that Jimin might give, but still he didn't expect him to say: "I know."
The younger tilted his head confused, heart still feeling a little heavy by the confession he had just made. "You know?"
Jimin leaned back on his seat, flipping a pen back and forth between his fingers. "Yeah, it's obvious to me that you are forcing yourself to keep up with him. Also, I didn't expect this to last longer anyways, after I found out how controlling he actually is. Also, I know that you would've already broken up with him, if there wasn't a problem, but you're still together, so that means there is one, which is probably his controlling self. I know he wouldn't let you go so easily."
Taehyung blinked more than necessary after Jimin's ranting, but was internally feeling so glad that Jimin knows him so well and could already make out what's going on by himself. It's just, Taehyung feels like shit when he talks about breaking up with someone who loves him.
"Right. I just... he changed so much, it doesn't feel the same anymore. I really tried to hold on, but, I can't."
"And you're scared to break up, because you don't know what he's capable of," Jimin pointed out again and Taehyung nodded. "Exactly."
"He really pulled you into a difficult position." Jimin put his pencil back into his pencil case, now wondering why the teacher wasn't already there.
"This had always been difficult. That's why I was scared of commitment, I should've just shut up-
"No, Taehyung don't say that. You were in love with him, it's normal to want to commit to the person you love."
A deep sigh left Taehyung's lips as he leaned back a little. "Should I just tell him?"
Jimin looked into Taehyung's dead eyes and then to the front, chewing on his lip. "It's the best you can do, but I'm... worried. What if he does something to you?"
Groaning, Taehyung crossed his arms on the table and placed his head on them. "Exactly why I can't break up with him. He could hurt me, maybe even the people I love. His possessiveness has been going overboard lately, he keeps calling me everyday at 11pm, asking if I'm home. He's a control freak."
"He always was, honey." Taehyung and Jimin both looked up when their classmates sat down and they guessed that the teacher was on his way. The two got ready for a long ass period of history that no one is interested in.
"Have you seen the new boy in class 12? He's so handsome!" Taehyung heard a girl say to her friend when he stood by his locker after his lesson.
"Yo Tae, let's eat lunch with the others," Jimin back hugged him. Taehyung hummed and nodded. "Sounds good," he said and Jimin took his hand, walking towards the cafeteria.
He was contented today, for some unknown reason. Maybe it's just the ease he is feeling after telling someone what was bothering him. He felt even happier when him and Jimin arrived in the cafeteria and he spotted his friends sitting on their iconic group table, somewhere on the side, right next to the canteen.
"Hey, gays," Jimin greeted as he sat down next to his boyfriend Yoongi and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. "Hey, precious," Yoongi responded with a light yawn and leaned his head against Jimin's tummy, not bothering to stand up. Jimin chuckled, as he sat down, moving his boyfriend's head in a way, that had him leaning against his shoulder now.
Taehyung sat down in front of Yoongi, who sat next to another friend, called Hoseok. He watched Jimin and Yoongi with a soft smile, heart hurting a little when he thinks about the moments like this that him and Minhyun had shared.
They are beautiful memories.
But nothing more.He sighed, pulling his lunch out, some toasted bread, without the edges, of course. Like come on, the soft center of bread is the only reason we are even eating it. Taehyung had always disliked them, too crusty, he loves the soft part more.
He took a bite off his toast, making sure the things he put in it won't fall out. Actually, he only feared the tomatoes, that would leave stains.
"I heard there's a new boy in your year, Yoongi, Hobi," Jimin suddenly said and Taehyung put his bread aside, nodding along. "Yeah, I heard some girls talk about him earlier."
"The whole school is talking about him," Yoongi scoffed and Hoseok hummed. "He's really good looking, but doesn't give a shit about anything. He was late on his first day and didn't even bring any material. In biology, he asked if he could bring a pillow to nap better." Hoseok continued with an eye roll and Yoongi chuckled.
"I mean, I ask that myself everyday, but not in front of teachers and students, damn. That dude really doesn't care."
"He sounds like a total dick," Taehyung mumbled and Jimin fist bumped him.
"An extremely handsome one though," Hoseok marked and both Taehyung and Jimin rolled their eyes.
"As if that makes him less a dick," Taehyung said, making Jimin laugh.
"Oh, there he is," Yoongi suddenly announced and four pairs of eyes moved to the entrance to the cafeteria.
And Taehyung almost chocked on his sandwich.
