The Other Blight

Chapter 9: Return to Blight Manor

(This chapter is pretty long! Sorry Enjoy!!)

"Okay, I think we have all been crying enough. Dinner anyone?" Autumn was the first one to let go of the pile of love.

"Ooh yes please! Although there isn't much I can eat, ya know being human and all." Luz let go and shuffled into the kitchen behind Autumn.

"Oh don't worry Luz! O and I have been to the human realm many times so we should have some food you can eat."

"Wait! You guys have been to the human world? Whoa and I thought you two could not get any cooler!"  Then the Luz and Autumn were in the kitchen with the door closed getting dinner ready, leaving the Blight siblings alone together for the first time since Amity was a baby. Eventually, all the siblings let go of each other, dried their eyes and then began talking.

"Well, what now? Mom and Dad don't know that we know about you right? Well why don't you just come over and confront them?" Emira said, just wanting her family to be complete again.

"I do not think that is the best idea. Odalia and I did not end our relationship in a very good place. I mean she didn't want me to be around you guys, she didn't want Autumn in my life, I mean she didn't even want me to be in the healing coven. I really don't think I should even be seen near Blight Manor." Octavia was rubbing her hands against her pants as if there were a million bugs surrounding her.

"But you are a Blight!" Em, Ed and Amity all shouted at Octavia.

"Whoa, kiddos yes I know I am a Blight but, I...I don't know guys. I haven't acted like a Blight in so long."

"What do you mean?"

"Like in the healing coven no one cares that I am a Blight, I actually go by Blight-Whitlock because at least Whitlock commands respect in the healing coven. Also like I said Odalia does not like me, I was the disappointment child. I was supposed to be great but I decided I didn't want to follow the life of a Blight and be forced into what Odalia wanted me to be."

"I know how that feels..." Amity lowered her head in what seemed like shame to know that SHE was the favorite child of the Blight siblings. She never wanted to be, she just wanted to be a kid, but being a Blight was more important than even a good childhood. The family saying was "Blights only associate themselves with a select few, and those select few could only be the strongest of witches."

"It's okay mittens. We love you so much." Em and Ed went over and hugged their little sister.

"You know what. I will not let her ruin you three. She ruined me and how I feel, I will not let her control your lives. Tomorrow we go to Blight Manor and its time to face Odalia."

*The Next Day at the Front Door of the Blight Manor*

Luz, Eda, Autumn and Octavia arrived at Blight Manor, dressed nicely to attend dinner with the Blight's.

"I am not ready for this." Eda finally said, gripping at the hem of her dress.

"You're nervous Eda? Imagine how Octavia and Autumn feel!" Luz exclaimed. Luz was standing closest to Autumn. Autumn looked at Luz and noticed that she also very nervous, Autumn knew how Luz felt though. She knew what it was like to be in love with a Blight and not being able to tell people that you do, being the partner of a Blight is hard work except for Odalia apparently.

"Eda! Knock! Please." Autumn said quietly but sternly. Eda was currently the only member of this little group with nothing to lose. So Eda did, she knocked on the front door and everyone held their breath. Luckily it was Amity that came and answered the door.

"Luz!" Amity rushed over to Luz and gave her the biggest hug she could muster. "Eda! Autumn! Octavia!! I am so glad all of you are here! Dinner is almost ready."
