Tangiro "Hello friend"

"Let me go," I cried out as one of the kids held me by my torso.  The boy and a girl laugh as I attempt to get free.

"Why? I wanted to play with the neighborhood monkey. Ohhh Ohh ahh ahh" the boy laugh. The girl walks towards me and pulls my hair. "Yeah and we wanna have fun with your hair. It looks matted and crazy."

I push the girl off me with my free arm,  which cause her to fall down on the ground. She got up mad and right before she could hit me back a boy yelled out, "What are you guys doing to her?!" Before I knew it, they dropped me and ran off. I look up to see who it was and it was Tanjiro Kamado.

I saw him around town and heard good things about how generous and kind he is. I always thought he was nice, but never thought he would look at my direction.

My family originated from Ghana and  wanted a fresh start somewhere. I was the only dark girl in my town besides my parents and I would get teased because of it. I isolated myself from my peers in town and kept to myself in the house thinking that'll stop the teasing. I guess that doesn't stop that either.

Tanjiro look at me and asked, "Are you okay?" I coughed and responded, "Yeah I'm alright, they didn't do anything until you got here." As I talked, I see him starring at me. "But are you good?" I guess that snapped him out of wherever he was, "Yeah I'm okay. I like your hair."

"Thanks, that girl pull my hair tho. Messing up my afro." I dust myself off. "Thank you for standing up for me my name is Y/n L/n" I introduced myself. "Tanjiro Kamado." He said.  "I should get home, it's almost nightfall," I commented.

"Can I walk you home?" Tanjiro asked. "I don't want you to walk alone at night, and in case them bullies come back." I didn't want the company, but then again it would be nice to be protected so I agree.

On the way home, we told each other a little bit about ourselves. I told him how I wanted to be a demon slayer and train but my parents disagree with the idea. Tanjiro was the first person who told me I could do it. That comforts me, knowing that someone actually believes in me.

"Look like we're here," I said. "Thank you for the walk." "It's no problem. Hopefully, I get to see you around more L/n-Chan." "Call me Y/n." I smile. "If that's the case you can call me Tanjiro then." "Great, goodnight Tanjiro and thanks again," I said as I enter the house.

Weeks went by and Tanjiro and I have gotten closer. It felt great having a person my age to take to.  He always asked questions about my skin color and my hair, and I could tell it's from a place of curiosity and genuine. His family was also nice. Nezuko actually complimented on my hair and told me I was pretty.  I felt safe with him and his family and could be myself around them.

One morning, I woke up and it has snow in town. I got excited and decided to find Tanjiro and see if we could play in the woods. As I look around town I couldn't find him anywhere. "Maybe he's still at home." I thought to myself. I was thinking walk to his house but he lives in the wood and I don't want to get lost out there, especially at night. It was the evening and Tanjiro hasn't been in town today.

I walk around town and see some people out and about until I overheard a conversation between a merchant and a woman.  "Yeah, the whole family was killed last night by a demon." The merchant explained. "Oh my, that's ashamed. I always love that boy Tanjiro. He was a good boy." My heart skipped a beat. I rush over there, not caring if it seems like I was hearing their conversation.

"I'm sorry but did you said Tanjiro, as in Tanjiro Kamado?" I asked. "Yes," the merchant confessed. "The Kamado family was slathered last night by a demon. There were no survivors, unfortunately." My knees begin to feel weak and I froze there for what seems like a minute. I then begin to run to my house and started crying and screaming. My only friend in the world was gone and I'll never get to see him anymore.  Now I'm alone again.

Three years passed and I accepted the fact that Tanjiro was gone. I begin my training as a demon slayer shortly after his death. It was brutal but I passed and survived the test and even learn a technique to feel the vibration of a human and demon. I was alone during my missions and kept to myself. However, after finishing a mission my raven came to me saying there's a demon located near a village.

When I got to the village, it was daylight so I had to wait until it was night. As I'm walking around, I see two boys arguing. One of them got blonde hair and the other one had a pig head on his head.

"Why don't you let me interrogate the witness here. You can't talk to people that wayyyy!!!!" The blonde boy cried out. "I CAN TALK TO HOWEVER I WANT TO FOOL." The pigman said as he knocked the blonde boy out. I look at them and notice their demon slayer just like me. "They must be here for the same mission."

"Hey!" I called out. I seem to got their attention. "Are you here for a mission too?" They look at me like they have seen a unicorn. The blonde one begins to hug me. "OMG A GIRL!!!  SHE LOOK DIFFERENT BUT SO PRETTY!! WILL YOU MARRY ME, PLEASSSSEEEE!!!" I push him off me. "Get yourself together man!"

I look over at his friend and he just turns his head. "Look it seems like all three of us are doing to work on this mission together, so they don't we help each other out and stick together."

"Actually their three of us." The blonde said, "He went to the forest to look for any clues." I nodded my head and decided it would be best if I go to the forest as well. "Okay then, I'll look for your friend and we can come back together tonight and discuss a plan." They nodded and I went towards the woods.

As I'm getting deeper into the wood I feel the vibration of a person. I go towards the vibration and soon I see someone that I thought I would never see again.

"Tanjiro?"

He turns around and he smiles at me, "Hello friend."
I ran up towards him and hugged him. Tears started going down my face. "Thought you were dead!"

He hugged me tightly, "I wasn't dead. Why did you think that?" "Cause the town said that the whole Kamado family was killed by a demon and I thought you were killed right beside them." Tanjiro explained, "I wasn't at home when that happened. My family did get killed that night but when I found them I ran into the woods and never came back."

"I thought I would never see you again," I said. "I'm sorry for making you feel this way", Tanjiro apologize as he wipe my tears off my face "I promise to never leave your side again." "You mean that?" "I do."

After our reunion, we continue with the mission and completed it. Tanjiro and I continue to have missions together and were never separated again.
