Funny how nobody guessed it correctly.

My sister and I enjoyed all your answers (even though I nearly killed my sister for deleting this chapter. Not literally, though.)

Good Luck next time!!

Enjoy! :))

Chapter 42

JAMIE:

A single drop of water on my cheek brought me back. I squinted my eyes then opened them slowly only to find Wesley on the ground. It was pretty clear that I was straddling him making my cheeks taint a light shade of pink.

"That hurts." He groaned making me snap back to reality.

"S-Sorry." I stuttered, quickly getting off him. "I didn't mean to. I just hate myself for being too clumsy that I even brought you along with me."

"It's fine, really. At least you're okay." He groaned as he stand right up, his cheek having a small dent of mud in it. He looked around the place and lets out a heavy sigh. "Where are we?"

"I don't know." I shrugged then slumped back on the ground, my eyes brimming with tears. "I-I'm really really sorry, Wesley... I-It's all my fault that we're---"

"Sssh..." Wesley wrapped his arms around me making my tears halt. My heart instantly quickened it's pace as I felt his hot breath in my forehead. "It's gonna be okay. I'll take care of you." He paused for a little bit then sighed. "For now."

He pulled away as soon as he realized that my whimpers had stopped. He immediately spotted his cellphone, lying on the ground, then grabbed it. Good thing the light still works, though. He flashed it to many directions but we saw nothing but trees and vines.

Defeated, he glanced at his phone. Maybe trying to make a call. "No signal." He muttered then made a 'tsk' sound. "Guess we'll just have to camp out and get our way back when the sun comes up."

"W-What?" I exclaimed, my hands crossed my chest.

"We got no choice." He sighed, then sat down beside me. "It's far too dangerous if we moved on-" His sentence was interrupted as series of tine droplets came crashing down on us. "Oh man... It's starting to rain."

My eyes frantically searched for shelter. "Over there!" I pointed a somewhat cave like structure ahead of us.

"That might do." Wesley nodded then grabbed my hand. "I wish it was safe, though." I gulped hard at his statement. Together, we dashed towards the cave and took shelter from the pouring rain and fierce wind.

The moment we were inside, Wesley flashed the light around the cave. I let out a sigh of relief as soon as I found out there wasn't any bats in there. One thing about me is that I hate spooky things. Like super duper hate it.

"Stay there for a bit." Wesley instructed. "I'm gonna get something."

"B-But---"

"Just stay there." He said, firmly then ran outside of the cave.

Following his instructions, I simply sat there with my hands covering my head. I sat at the very corner of the cave and tried to think happy thoughts to wash the fear that was slowly contaminating my mind.

"Greyson." I whispered.
